Next up, a behind the scenes look at flight of fear at kings island. It was a great tour, and we got to see what they did with the old king cobra trains, and the retired flight of fear trains with the otsh. A little later, I have a behind the scenes tour of the beast. Enjoy... First we had to go over the rules... We then made our way to the flight of fear exit ramp. Unload controls We then made our way deep inside the ride. These are the fins that stick out the side of the train. Without these, the train would not launch. The maintanance guy explained to us that they are made from a rare metal that cost's a lot of money. It was very dark in there, so it was hard to get a good shot of the spegetti bowl. Geez...the least they could have done was run a sham wow around before we came. Spare coaster parts. Here are the trains that were on flight of fear when it sucked monkey butt. King cobras ride cars collect dust. Watch your feet.

Psyclone was one of the worst wooden coasters I have ever been on. I am not sure if it was the rollin stock, or just bad track work. -
Thank's for the replys. The fast passes were just never used. A lot of times, the ride was a walk on, or we had dinner reservations and our plans changed. In this update, I have some pictures of Hydra construction, whirlwind at knobles, and some pictures of six flags great adventure pics with some kingda ka construction, and rides that are no longer there. As a bonus, I found a picture of viper at six flags atlanta. The next buch of pictures will be a behind the scenes tour of the beast and flight of fear at kings island. We start out with some hydra construction. You can see the lift starting to rise. Lots of pieces. The turn to the lift was already built. The jojo roll is not yet there. Rain and construction crains. The crazy cars were removed for demon drop. Viper at six flags georgia. I really liked the theme of this ride. The line went thru a swamp. Whirlwind at knobles. I think it got relocated over seas. By time I got there, it was dark. Now we make our way to jersey. This ride will be on the "rides of the past" list soon. Waiting in line for viper. Just like psyclone at magic mountain, one ride on this death trap were enough. Still there, just has a differant name. I miss the teepee. I think this was called taz twist or something like that. One more shot from great adventure. Kingda ka pieces start to arive.

I apologize for the lack of another big update on this thread, but my other disk will not load for some reason So I have scanned a few pictures that I have developed. I hope to get the disk issue figured out, so until then, I will post a few more. The entrance to the parking lot. It's missing wally moose though. The bayron(sp) curve. The next time I visited the park, it was gone. I like this station for some reason. Deja vu and psyclone. I had only been on psyclone once.....that was enough. It looks nice, but that was about all it had going for it. -
I have another geauga lake bundle. First I have an old sea world ohio booklet from 1995 I have also included a geauga lake booklet and map from 2005, and a wildwater kingdom map from 2008. Next up, I have a bunch of geauga lake post cards. And I also included a freestyle music park booklet and map. 2005 park booklet. I believe this was the last year that they did the halloween haunt at the park. 2005 park info Inside the booklet. The map was too big to scan. Wildwater kingdom. Map was cut off on one end. All that is missing is the wave pool. Seaworld 1995. I think it was the last year for sea world. Seaworld info. Dolphin cove...new for 1995 And here are some of the post cards I have. Freestyle music park. I never had the chance to make it to this park. Inside Park map.

Actualy, the next day was a lot slower. I think the longest wait was for x2, and that was somewhere around 1.5 hours. The rest of the rides were close to being a walk on. I really like this park, and wish I lived closer. -

A few summers ago, I took a trip out to magic mountain. I was looking forword to get to this park forever. I was not dissapointed. We spent a week in california. Two days at magic mountan, a day at knotts, and 4 days at Disneyworld. I really like this park, as it was a change of pace for me. While there, I managed to take a crap load of pictures. Here is part 1. We left the disneyland resort, and drove up to magic mountain. There were some cool things to look at. I am from Michigan, so we don't see many hills. Wally world...we made it damn it...Sorry. I have watched national lampoons vacation too many times. Nice sign. And then the skyline started to show itself. I see you superman. As we pulled in, they were testing x2 I have been wanting to ride this since it was built. But I had to wait in line first. You know that moment just before you have sex...you know...that feeling? I think this guy thought he was a beaver or something. On the tram ride in, I snapped this shot. Ever since I was a kid, I have been wanting to go on this. The main area of the park. The merry go round. So many choices...where should I start? Ummm...Baja ridge sounds good. They have the best coasters ? x2 was like a 3 hour wait, so I decided to come back later. Remeber the movie rollercoaster? Well, this is where the guy gets waisted by revolution. This looks like a good ride to hit first. Look...it's a ace coaster landmark. There was a line, but it moved fast. Ohhh..It looks like this is gonna hurt. Noted. Noted... Next up was viper. The ride has a very impressive station. Ummm...not sure what's going on here. The station was packed. Viper was amazing. And it was a great looking ride as well. I will get to this later. Looks like fun. They have one of those incline rail cars. Time to take a trip to the top. On the way up, I got this shot. X2 and viper tucked in the corner of the park. A bunch of coasters in this shot. Superman. Deja vu and the soon to be terminator coaster. You can see all of riddlers revenge in this shot. Not sure what the hell this thing is. They have a musium at the top of the tower. Showcasses of random ride parts. The people look like ants from up here. X2 doing it's thing. Tatsu comes really close to the tower. Time for ninja. Simple logo. There was quite a wait for ninja. Weird pictures on the walls. The lift hill. Ninja was a good ride. It is better than iron dragon. Next on the list was superman. The line goes thru an ice burg. It was nice and cool inside. Not sure what this is. You have to wait for the doors to open. This is the ride car. I like this shot. One thing with this park, is there is a lot of hilly walkways. Gold rusher was next. It was a decent mine ride. Weird looking brakes. This park is packed with things to do. Scrambler. Gotham city. I think every six flags park has a gotham city. I see you goliath. Collosus The line was full. The station is pretty lame. I remember it looked a lot better in the movie. Look what I found. Impresive looking coaster. I love the name of the bathroom. Next up....scream.Aka, the parking lot coaster. Is it just me, or does the sign look like the sun has got to it. The parks pirate boat ride. I think this is the spot where the bobsled ride used to be. Goliath...we will get back to this later. Yayyy..thomas. Bird cage ride looks like fun. Only in california. Log jammer. It looked like fun, but the group I was with did not want to ride. It blends in really well. This is where we ate dinner. Tatsu will have to wait till tommarow. They had a plaque in the plaza. The park looked beautiful. This is the same stage where the band "fart" played, in the movie rollercoaster. Goodby magic mountain...see you again tommarow.

I never realized I had so many geauga lake pictures. Here are some pictures from the year after the park closed. I got some shots of whats left, and some of the waterpark. WARNING!!!! These pictures are very depressing. The geauga lake hotel sign was still there. I bet they have plenty of avalable rooms. Ok...I still to this day can't understand why they open the booth on the right where the driver can't reach to pay. There is a booth just to the left. Wounden't it have made more sense? This is where it started to get depresing. Remember when sea world was here? It was beautiful. They really let this area go. It was such a nice park at one time. The pirate 3d theater. Leftover sea world decorations. This is the area where the giant kids play structure once stood. Now it's just a wasteland. Some leftover park props. I remember fighting my way thru the crowds here at one time. Looking over to the park, you can see whats left of dominators station, and what I think is the log flume station. Remember what the skyline used to look like? They blocked off what was left of the floating bridge. One of the last standing buildings left from the sea world days. Big dipper, still standing proud. You can see the peak of the log ride. The rip cord, and paddleboat. You can see raging wolf bobs poking thru the trees. The stadium sits unused. It was still in great shape. At the gas station next to the park, I grabbed some gas and some shots of the park. This was when el dorado was being shipped off to virginia. Big dipper just crying to run again. Crane and some park stuff. It was very depressing looking at the park this way. Parking lot starting to fill with weeds, instead of cars. Front gate, and a spiral staircase to something. They even took the lights down. Geauga lake closed....but not forgotton.
