  1. Hey everyone, its bene a long time but I feel like a should comment as SFMM is really changing. I have been going to the park atleast twice a year since 2005. From about 2005-2008, I really felt the park was at its prime. Once terminator opened, the park felt nearly complete. Tatsu still felt new, looked new, and had 2+ trains (when I went), X2 was operating well (what X should have been since 2002), Viper looked brand new, Terminator was really fun for a ride of its size (the preshow didnt bother me too much), and Riddlers allways had 2+ trains, Scream had 2+ trains, and Goliath often had 3 trains. SIx FLags was awsome with Psyclone gone and Flashback (which was a waste of space) quietly disposed of. However with this, my feelings were mixed with the whole Shapiro thing. I understand SF is a business but they kept regurgitating attractions.Yea, we got X2 but it is what X should have been from day one. What else? Terminator...but they didnt pay very much for it as they got a major funding from elsewhere. So mcuh in fact that it took over a year for them to announce the actual spending on the attraction. I give them credit for making the park look pretty. The park was clearly better taken care of. But...call me old school but there were places I liked it looking rundown. I thought the devel may care attitude worked well around Batman and Riddlers. But...ill certainly take a fresh coat of paint with no complaints. And now we have this...3 NEW THRILLS!! Sorta...we get superman...but we already had it. Its going to be an interesting upgrade for sure, but its not a huge new thrill. Green Lantern...ill ride it, it looks fun. But after we got Riddlers, Goliath, Deja Vu, X, Scream, and TAtsu all within 8-9 years, I dont feel like its the same thing. Sure the economy is down, but I just dont want them squeezing in rides where they are not needed. After Terminator, I felt there next move was to update Scream and make it feel less like an afterthought. Or...if they were to tear down Viper (God Forbid-as they already tore down their other arrow loopers) at least we could get a Maverick or Storm Runner. Before Terminator, I thought if NInja had 2 go (just cause most of its kind are gone, we could get a GCI mountain woodie-without a disappointing ending). But hey, if they think this will bring them money then they should go for it. I love Six Flags and am not the least bit discouraged from this last trip. The sign is probobly temporary because of the short notice of the liscenece removal. The Tatsu thing is fixable and just requires some planning ahead. So the employees need to giev loading a bit extra, management just needs to lay doen the hammer. As for the trashcan puke...Im afraid little can be done to keep that from happening. The Riddlers train however was disgraceful. Its unacceptable to have the 2nd or 3rd most popular ride in the park have one train even during the low season. Dispite its age, its still a great ride. Again thanks Rob for the update. I dont want to complain too much but managment does need to make certain changes to insure SFMM keeps getting better:) I want to see my favorite place stay awsome and get even better. -Sephiroth
  2. Thanks for the update. If they are building an Aqua Trax is would be in Ninja's Spot not Deja Vu's. Kingda Ka isnt thaaat problematic anymore either. Superman the escape was reeeaaaly problematic and is a wate of space and electricity. It's boring, loud, and old. There is plenty of room for a Kingda Ka/ TTD tower support structure. There is at least 100 yards between the main walkway and Goliath so they could easily fit it. As for the paying of it...they should wait till the econonmy comes back but SFMM needs to become like cedar point. A national roller coaster destination
  3. I was starting to worry but the repainting has somewhat reassured me that SFMM is not being neglected completly. Now,every ride looks almost new (except Scream and Tatsu but at least their not too bad). But why have they shut down Ninja, Thrill Shot, and Deja Vu? They closed the Big Bad Wolf at Busch Gardens so could that mean that Ninja's reached the end of its life? That would really suck. Now Thrill Shot needs to come down in order for them to install an Intamin launched freefall. Hopefullly similar to Superman: Tower of Power in Six FLags over Texas. But as for Deja Vu...they neeeeeed to keep it! What else will fit over on that side of the park? It's a great ride even dispite the down time. However as for my long term wishes for SFMM...RIP OUT SUPERMAN THE ESCAPE AND BUILD US A KINGDA KA!!!!!
  4. Tomorrowland is outdated and empty. Even with the recent additions, it still feels superficial. If only it would return to how Walt oringinally thought it should be. A vista into the world of tomorrow. Not to b a rehash of their films. Here is what should stay: Space Mountain Submarine Voyage Innoventions Star Tours 2 Autopia What needs to change or go! Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters-I know...this is a decent family ride but they came ouyt with a very similar and better ride in DCA Pizza Port-cut the crappy 90's feel and give it a futuristic modern touch and update the menu People Mover/Rocket Rods Track. PUT SOMETHING THERE!!!!! Preferably something fast and furious:)
  5. Still. I think perilous plunge is a decent ride for several reasons. It IS a world record AND it gets very popular during the summer. Now boomerang...there is nothing that can replace it that would 1: be a better ride, and 2: actually fit. However, fiesta villiage has seriously deteriorated. It's fake coloring and is just filled with puke stains everywhere. Everywhere I look I kinda wanna barf. Jaguar is a terrible ride. It's slow, ugly, and noisy. Montezooma's is a classic but looks like it is getting close to the end of its lifespan. And i think there would b room. If it started in the Jaguar station, came up a steep incline and goes like...idk 200ft, and then does a sharp turn down to the right, and does hills along the old montezoomas layout and does a large overbanked turn around the present Jaguar turns. It could really work and could also reduce some of the croudedness factor while replaceing 1 mediocre ride and 1 $#itty ride with a new awsome thrill. Which is what most people who go to knotts want.
  6. They need to can the whole family thing...THEY CANNOT COMPETE WITH DISNEYLAND AND THEY SHOULD NOT EVEN TRY!!!! They need to keep giving the park small facelifts and improove their website/advertising. THey can bring in more revenue if they make stuff like...idk...ride challenges. Something like, ride on every coaster and recieve a special pass 2 eide X2 an hour after hours or something. Little things like that would be huge for revenue
  7. Here is the isssue. Knotts cannot and should not choose to be a "family park" or an "extreme park." As we all know, Magic Mountain and DIsneyland allready occupy those places. Therfore, Knotts needs to end up in the middle. Lets start with what they have now: Xcelerator-Luv it but it needs a paint job Silver Bulle-Luv it Perilous Plunge-Luv it but the new boats kinda suck Ghost Rider-Luv it but it's too rough in places Supreem Scream-Luv it but it gets boring after 2 many rides Now...the stuff I dont like or have issues with Jaguar and Montezoomas are extremely outdated! First, Jaguar needs to go because there is allready 2 family coasters that have been added in these last 5 years. (Both of which my opinion is indifferent about). It is poorly themed and a piece of junk. Montezoomas was great, b ut the park already has a launch coaster so it really has lost it's flare. WHat they should do is tear out Montezoomas and Jaguar to make room for a new B&M coaster. Maybe like SFOG Goliath. KBF really lacks a good coaster with large hills. It could use Jaguars station but have it updated to not feel like a total $#!# hole. That Takes care of Fiesta Villiage. The other parts of the park are fine. (for now) Boomerang is showing it's age but what could you really put in there that will be better than what is allready there? Finally...as for the new drop ride from Cedar Point... It is a complete waste of money. It is not new, or interesting. The public wont care. KBF allready has a great drop ride (supreem scream). Really bad decision. What needs to happen is for KBF to update itself. Hive the old mine ride and logride a faclift. Repaint Xcelerator! and send the old CP ride to the dump. Bring us a solid B&M!!!!
  8. Oh it opened at 11:00 and broke down at about 12:15 it reopened at about 1:30. So i finally got on the ride at 1:50
  9. Hey Rob it's Sephiroth. I was the guy who was standing in line for X2 for 3 hours with some of my friends. You were right, it was totally worth the wait. Can you post the pics of me and Woodshopbro that you took of us on the X2 page or send them to me, thanks so much!
  10. If I could only choose one of these to visit, which is better. Cedar Point hase more great roller coasters but Great Adventure has Kingda Ka and El Toro
