  1. I think that it´s really bad that people just start a thread just to start a thread. I also agree that younger people makes the most part of the bad posts. But some younger people makes very good TR and other posts. I think that it´s important to really show why they should use more time for spell checking and also think about do i need to do this post? As i live in a country where in English isn´t our home language i also think that we make many mistakes, but not because we want to, for many of us Internet is the only part where we use English. And you don´t become banned for 1 mistake in your spelling. I surely have made some spelling mistakes, but i´m not banned. If you show that you really try to make the best that you possible can noone will look at you in a furious way. A moderator is not only a person or persons that will ban you. They´re also your friend at the forum, a forum have some moderators for you. If you are unsure if you shall make a post or not, or if you don´t now where to post it, ask the moderators. I have never found a moderator that wouldn´t help me if i have something to ask. The pointless posts like "Hi Robb!" (example) takes time from the moderators that maybe would look at your thread if you show it in a good way. I think that the young good posters should be given more credit, if they are i think the bad ones will find out how to post to get credit. The first thing i look at in every thread is the age of the first poster. If he/she is 13 or 14 i may not continue to read it. That isn´t good because the 13 year old boy or girl may have made the best post ever, but people don´t read it. So to the young people, you only make damage to your friends with pointless threads and bad spelling. And all TPR Forum members is your friends, right?
  2. This is just a rumour, i haven´t heard that it´s even confirmed that Tivoli Friheden will get a new roller coaster for 2008. I have only heard a rumour of a possible investment of 20 Millioner Danske Kronor for 2008. So is this really confirmed by Tivoli Friheden?
  3. It seems that most of the interest of this thread almost comes from Scandinavia. Anyway, when i read about this project, i first felt wow, but also i feel very sorry for Gröna Lund. This new park will become the largest in Sweden and Gröna Lund maybe will have only further 10,000 sq m to expand on in the future. So the competition when it comes to area will give a huge advantage for Park Fantasia. I also expect this project to become great as the family behind this new investment is the same persons that was forced to sell their shares in Parks & Resorts Scandinavia during early 2006. They have experience of the business and also launched a take over bid of Parks & Resorts Scandinavia but the major shareholders denied their bid. So hopefully Park Fantasia won´t become a new Wild West World park. So i feel that the new park may become the Lindgren familys revenge at Parks & Resorts Scandinavia or maybe this is some investment that they would have to do anyway, even if they wouldn´t have been forced out of their family park (Gröna Lund). Why the park is placed not too far from Gröna Lund? Well, i think that they feel that they can attract more visitors to a park with 760,000 sq m of area than a park with only 46,000 sq m that Gröna Lund may become able to use soon. Also the revenge would show that the former majority shareholders at Parks & Resorts Scandinavia should have sold their stake to the Lindgren family. I think it will become very interesting to follow how Parks & Resorts Scandinavia will answer the plans from their new future competitors.
  4. Park Fantasia The new park will have hotels and camping areas, with different theming. It will have a water park and there is also plans for a "thrill park". 5. New Swedish amusement park to open for 2010 The former owners of the Gröna Lund amusement park have revealed plans to open Swedens biggest aumsement park. The park is going to be located in Botkyrka, south of Stockholm. The park will contain a world-class water park, different activities like a fairy tale park for the children is also going to be built. It also seems that a new hotel can be built close to the park. Big areas for scenes will also be built so bigger performances can take place in the park. The initial cost seems to be around 650 Million SEK for the first part that is going to be built. According to Aftonbladet the Lindgren family says that later a thrill park with big roller coasters will be added. Short facts: Area: 760,000 sq m Cost: 650 MSEK. Opening: 2010 Construction will start during 2009. More information to be revealed during a press conference at Friday 31th August. Source: http://www.aftonbladet.se/stockholm/article660464.ab
  6. This post will contain everything i know about the future of the Swedish park Liseberg and everything i know about the future expansion. Everything single detail will be listed here. Please use this thread only for news about Liseberg and comments about the future plans. Well, let´s start with the new additions for the 2008 season. Evert Taubes World, that will contain a audio-visual centre about the Swedish singer. The area will also contain a new restaurant and a new scene where Everts son Sven-Bertil will be the first person to perform. During the summer season 2008 a new garden will open. It will be 20,000 sq m. The investment for Evert Taubes World only will rise to 120 MSEK, and the cost for the new garden is still unknown. I have snapped up information that says that a TopSpin-style of ride can be built for the 2009 season to replace the old TopSpin that was removed after the 2006 season. Well, if you think this is interest you will find out that the text that will come will be far more interesting. Liseberg to expand further 35,000 sq m. Background: Back in 1992 Liseberg was allowed to expand in the eastern part, that expansion was completed by 1997 as Kållerado and Liseberg harbour opened. The park made some changes and moved personal rooms and storages to make room for Balder that opened 2003. But also back in 1992 was allowed to make a bigger expansion where Lisebergs parking area now is located. The development started during 2002/2003 and during 2004 a first plan was revealed of how the new area would be used. In the west part a new building that will contain restaurants, cinemas etc and other services that can be connected to a amusement park was set to be built. The building will also reduce noise from the park. In the southern part of the new area a new parking house with 1500-2000 new places for cars and buses would be built. That had to be done as the existing 900 places would now become amusement park. The rest of the old parking area was set to become amusement park with rides, restaurants, games etc. During 2006 the expansion plans was put on hold due to the new underground railway plans. We still wait for the final decision to be taken, but according to my source it is likely that the final decision of where the railway will become built will be taken in September or October 2007. Thanks to the delay all plans has to be done from the beginning, so expect all decisions hopefully be in place during 2010. My personal thoughts is that the new area will open for the 2013 season. To celebrate Lisebergs 90th anniversary. The only thing i know about the rides is that a "Roller Coaster in the Dark" has been mentioned as well as most of the new area will be used for all-year round services so most of the rides here will be used both for the summer season and Christmas at Liseberg. I´ll keep you all informed when something new happens. Picture that shows the area where Liseberg hopefully will be allowed to expand during the coming years. The picture comes from kartor.eniro.se

  9. Some short information for those who may want to visit the park after looking at the report. Where is Liseberg located? In the central part of Göteborg, Sweden. Is the park expensive to visit?
