  1. Being bored at work I started scouring the old forums. On Mon Feb 28, 2005 5:16 pm, Millenniumguy posted this: "... CP you get your hand stamped for rides like Magnum(i don't know why you will need it ), MF, WT, TTD and Raptor. These handstamps show the time you can get to ride the ride with less or no wait at all." Did this happen? Did it work? and most importantly will it be availble in 2006? The Herbster ---Insert witty quote here--
  2. I'm off to the US this summer. We're going to Cedarpoint, Geauga Lake, Paramount Kings Dominion, SF Great Adventure and Hershey Park. Do any of these parks have SRQs?
  3. Excellent tip noted. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetttttttttttttt!!!!!!!!!! Anymore awesome (never to be found anywhere else, but only on TPR) tips for CP or SCity or GLake?
  4. Looking at the CP map the Marina entrance (next to the Imax) appears to be closer to MF. Any chance of using that entrance to beat the queue? Oh and we're staying at BE for 3 nights but the parking voucher is just for 1 day is that right Carnage?
  5. After some research and advice from the team at TPR I have just booked 3 nights at BE for August. My budget, early rides and the package deals were the clincher for me to book BE. Yo Dandaman - The soak city entrance tip, is that possible if I am staying at BE? Can I park my car/van near that entrance?
  6. NO WAY!!!!!!!!!! NO TTD as an early entry ride. BUMMER!!! I suppose the thing would be to ride MF first and then run to the TTD line before the gates open. Is that the way to minimise waiting and maximise riding?
  7. There are two adults and 4 children (teenagers really) in our group. When I put this into the reservation page on CP's website they only quoted me for 1 room (6 in a room?) to stay at BE. Is that 2 queens and 2 rollaway beds? Anyone have any experience of this quantity in a BE room? The Herbster
  8. Thanks. If all 6 stay at BExpress the following night, we will get a pass for early entry for all 6 of us . Is that right?
  9. Hi TPR I am going to CP this summer and plan to stay at Breakers Express. But i have a couple of question: 1, Is breakfast included in the price? (no mention on the web) 2, What is the upper age limit of a 'child'? 3, Most importantly 4 of us are staying at BExpress but 2 of our group will be coming to CP in the morning. The 'ride early pass for TTD/MF' - is that one pass that allows all 4 of us in (and if possible all 6 of us) or is it one pass per person. Thanks for your help guys!!!!!!!!!
  10. Thanks team. We've taken your advice and penciled in the last two weeks before labour day for our trip. I'll look at whentoride.com to decide upon the final sequence of the parks. I assume AAA is the American Automobile Association - any ideas on how I (a British Citizen with no permanent US address) can join? Also does staying at the Breakers express for CP give one a concession for the entrance fee? Herbster
  11. Hello to all from the UK. I am planning a trip with 5 of my nephews(!) next year during their UK school holidays (July and August). We are planning to visit Cedar Point (+Soak City), Geauga Lake, SF Great Adventure, Hershey Park and Paramount Kings Dominion. I'll be hiring a minivan from JFK. We are on a tight budget. Two questions: (1) Which 2 weeks in those two months are the parks the least busiest (or when do the US children return to school)? :? (2) Any tips on saving money, such as on entrance fees, parking and local accomodation(?coupons, discounts..)? Cheers!!!
  12. The folowing (in addition to CP and Soak city) are definates: Geauga Lake Paramount King's Island Six Flags Great America Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom is currently a maybe, depending upon available time. If we find a wicked 'NEW for 2006' coaster nearby we may go there (in addition to or instead of one of the above). Can't wait for next summer. 8)
  13. Excellent info gang!!! Just been on the two websites for the last three hours. More than enough info to plan our trip. Thanks again.
  14. Hello to all, I'm new to this forum. I'm in search for some advice. I am planning a 10 day rollercoaster trip for myself and my 4 teenage nephews in the USA for summer 2006. We plan to fly into Chicago (from the UK) and drive to some theme parks. We will definatley be spending 2 days in Cedarpoint/Soak City. My question is what other white knuckle ride theme parks are close to CP or Chicago that we can visit without having to waste to much time driving. Thanking you in advance for your help
