  1. finally got to ride Mach Tower this past Thursday (Sept 1st) and I was far from impressed. To start, the loading process is pointless and so not needed. Once on the ride I thought it was pretty cool that is rotates as you go up (and the views were nice) but once the drop happens they hit the brakes half way down the tower. Maybe i'm in the minority, but I wish the rides free fall was longer.
  2. any idea where we can view these site plans filed in '99?
  3. the worst coasters I've ridden are as follows: Hypersonic XLC @ Kings Dominion - super super rough, banged the crap out of me and left me seriously in pain. Mind Eraser @ Six Flags America - My head was banged up pretty bad on this (i'm 5'8 / 5'9, so maybe it's my height). It's left a bad taste in my mouth for anything vekoma made.
  4. BBW wasn't a huge surprise, but it's still a shame it's gone. I honestly wanted Busch to do 'Revenge Of The Wolf' in it's honor. I'm surprised to see people list HS XLC. That thing was a death trap and SUPER uncomfortable! I never rode it more than twice because all it did was bang the $h@t out of you.
  5. I loved the trip to Dollywood I took last Sept. It was great fun! I will say that the Dizzy Disc in the County Fair section was a fav .. I had never ridden anything like it before. Also the Misty, Mystery Mine (joke for anyone who has ridden it) gets a bum rep for being rough .. you just have to know how to ride it (which way to position yourself and turn on certain parts). Here are a few pics from my trip. This was the park at mid-day! It never got busier than this really .. there was some older folks eating at the food places and the longest line was to tour Dolly's tour bus! Everything else was a walk on, so we got 5 rides on M.M., 4 on T.H., 3 on T.T. maybe more on each, who knows ... but everything we rode was walk on or no more than a one train wait. This is not at Dollywood, but it's another attraction in Pigeon Forge called Zorb. I highly recommend it .. it was A LOT of fun! Last but not least ... our cabin! I recommend anyone getting one of these instead of a hotel room, was much more fun!
  6. Disney America was planned in Virginia as well (which is where I live). There was a big debate about it and people made a fuss .. so the park was never built. It would have been interesting if that had actually made it. Disney has seemed to want to get into Virginia for a while now, I'm surprised they haven't made a bid on Busch Gardens.
