  1. I read also something in the stats about the capacity: 18.000 visitors / day When we do some math we might come to some interesting conclusion. Hours of operation / day: 9 Visitors / hour: 2000 Visitors / train: 24 Trains / hour: 83 A normal woodie would not be able to reach such a capacity! Some stats: Troy and Renegade only do 850 visitors / hour. Will they build a duelling/racing woodie? Joris and the Dragon @ Efteling is such a duelling and does 1750 visitors / hour.
  2. Images are linked to FaceBook. Has something to do with not being 'Friends' with Rob i suppose.
  3. Damn, why don't they make all Ultra Twisters the same The are 7 UT's in RCDB and only one of them has the Dive Loop. I did the UT in Nagashima Spa Land. It was one of the weirdest coasters i've ever done... Now i will have to go back to Japan to get the extra wacky credit.
  4. They line up also for the ticket booth and the gates. It's a pleasure to know no one will jump lines. This ride looks like a shooting saloon with riding carts to me. It's all nice but way to overrated i think.. But i want to do it anyway It opened on the day we returned from Japan
  5. Nice to see all these little Japanese parks. We hit 11 larger parks this year but it's good to see that there are waaaaaaay more cute parks.
  6. The weblog shows pictures of the second train. This second train hasn't got the snakeskin look (yet) Source: http://www.kidiamondback.com The animation of the train shows this skin so i suppose they will add it later:
  7. We would have to do that anyway. The Limousine bus to our hotel leaves about 4 hours later than our arrival. If we would take Limousine bus from Narita to Shinjuku the bus leaves every 20 minutes.
  8. Did some Googleing and saw this offer: http://www.jreast.co.jp/e/suica-nex/index.html We have also been looking at the Limousine Bus. What would you recommend after a long distance travel? We are staying close to Shinjuku Station.
  9. Looks like a nice park. We will consider it! I have a question about getting around. We will get a JR pass for the Osaka/Kyoto part (2 week pass - we will need 10 days of travel. Luckily they are not twice as expensive as 7-days passes). But how did you guys (and girls) get around in Tokyo. Everything is accessible by Metro i suppose but what would be the cheapest and easiest way to pay for the Metro?
  10. The website still states it's closed i think (if Google Translate does it right): http://tinyurl.com/expoland I think we will have to reschedule... Thank you for your other advice. I will look into it.

But ofcourse we will also see some culture We have booked the hotel in Tokyo: Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku. We are still looking for a hotel in Osaka (or Kyoto, but Osaka seems to be cheaper) and a hotel at Narita Airport for our last night in Tokyo. We are really looking forward to this trip - lots to see and lots to do! ------------------- Any advice is welcome. About hotels, best way to travel, themeparks, etc I have read the trip-reports from TPR visits but the more info the better
  12. Hello to everybody, my name is Martijn (Nickname is derived from this). I'm 32 years old and i live in Den Bosch (The Netherlands) together with my girlfriend and two cats. Love rollercoasters and have traveled around the world to visit them. Have a look at my Themepark Calender to see where i've been and where i'm going next.
