Should Rosie O'Donnell host "The Price Is Right?"

Dude, you've already been banned once for your attitude and I warned you that if it flared up again, you'd be gone for good. This is your LAST warning.... Play nice. --Robb Calling someone a "fat dyke" is playing nice? -

Two, the reasons why I think that word is okay to use is because 1) she is one and 2) the first amendment. Three, politically correct people are the death of America. I think that just about covers it... It's not a matter of whether she is or isn't. You don't walk around speaking angrily about all those useless retarded people do you? Didn't think so. I would agree that it's a matter of respect, but more so, maturity. I think it's funny you censored yourself from using two racial slurs but its ok to use the word "spick".. though I personally would spell it "spic" as Hispanic doesn't have a k... however, irony aside, let's not argue and call names. I think we are all old enough to have reached some level of maturity. As said above, this thread will be locked if this crap goes any further. Continue on with your discussion about Rosie and how much she sucks. I didn't "censor myself". I wasn't sure how to spell it, obviously. Also there is a difference in referencing a word and using it as an insult. His point wasn't you're spelling, but the fact that you didn't give it that same asterisk treatment as the others, and if the asterisks weren't censoring then by all means tell us what they were doing. Man, oh, man. Pure semantics. Was it really that hard to figure out my point? Actually I must really be a racist because I didn't censor the word SPIC, huh? -

I personally like Rosie O'Donnell. I think she has guts to speak her mind, and most of what she says about Bush, in particular, is true. Her imitation of Donald Trump was hilarious. Sometimes she sticks her foot in her mouth..but so what? That being said, I don't think she should be the new host for The Price is Right. Actually, I don't care. I don't watch the show. -

I think that just about covers it... Hey jerk, this has nothing to do with "political correctness". It has to do with respect. Like I said, if you were a black person , would it be alright to call you a ni**er?? If you are Mexican, to call you a "spick"? Or call someone a "fa**ot? It's also not about having a sense, or lack of humor. If a group or a person doesn't want to be abused by disrespectful language, they HAVE THAT RIGHT. Political correctness "is the death of America"?? If you believe that, you are really out of touch. The death of America is RACISM, POVERTY, LIES and DECEIT, especially by our leaders. Did I screw up you topic or spoil your fun?? Well TOO BAD. Your being an a$$. -

Knock off the homophobic crap. Why do you think it's ok to use that word? Would you call a black person a "ni**er"?? You may not like her, but that word is really not acceptable at this day and age. -
Surely you jest! I'd say in no particular order: Black Hole Sun - Soundgarden Three Days - Janes Addiction Master of Puppets - Metallica Limelight - Rush Comfortably Numb- Pink Floyd

Please don't use old testament law, in Christianity, Christ came to fufill the law, and therfore Christians are no longer bound to obey old testament law, but to obey Christ teachings not to say we do not use things from the old testament to guide our faith, but we are not required to follow them, I can't remember the last time I sacrafice a young goat to pay pennace for my sins The fact that people make interpetations on a vague passage of scripture should not confuse anyone, the bible is not really specific about HOW God created the earth, just that he did, and although it says it took 7 days, the bible also hints that time means nothing to God. I could quote off a bunch of scriptures, but I won't. The fact remains that faith is a very personal thing, and while some members like Shepp seem to truely dislike christianity, I have met some really amazing people who really do good for thier communities in the framework of organized religion. Well this of course is off subject, but many "Christians" use the old testament to condemn homosexuals. Back to that old picking and chosing to fit an agenda. not really, read Romans 1:18-32 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans%201:18-32;&version=51; This is off topic, so I will not post the actual scriptures, if your so inclined go read it yourself, and this is no endorsment on the the way some Christian groups treat homosexuals, just replying to halation My point was that some people will pick something like the bible saying homosexuality is wrong and believe that, and then ignore other ridiculous things like the bible saying eating shellfish is wrong or to kill your children if they disrespect you. It IS picking and chosing..unless those who condemn homosexuals, don't eat shellfish, and have killed their children for disrespecting them, also.

The question was if you believe in creationism or evolution. did you read the first sentence? aaaand the story was a major reason I believe in creationism. No need for hostility. I was referring to the rest of it..does this prove that creationism, as stated in the bible, is true? I don't see the connection. I don't know who you think is being hostile, there are just many people who don't agree with you, that is all.

Think of it this way. Do you think a baker makes a loaf of bread? Or is it the yeast reacting with all the other ingredients combined with the heat which makes it? The two can overlap sometimes depending on how you look at it. I think his problem is more with people believing certain details but then ignoring other parts or simply adding their own ideas into it, and not the actual idea itself. Like how the Bible says God created man and animals and everything terrestrial, and basically leaves it at that, but here we see many people seemingly having a belief that is "unscripted." I think, and yeah I could be wrong, but I think he has a problem with people saying they believe in the stories in the Bible, but then changing or adding on to those stories as if they were either left vague or simply incomplete. I know I've always found it odd how some passages are written off as "outdated" and then others are clung to so tightly, even though they were all supposedly divinely inspired by their god. Thankyou Thank you, because you finally see the light?

Here's another one: "For everyone who curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death. He has cursed his father or his mother. His blood shall be upon him." (Leviticus 20:9)

I agree I don't get how people feel this way. I mean, you either think the bible is true, that god created man, or science is true, and that we evolved. How do you pick and choose things out of a bible? It would seem that you either think it was based on truth, or it wasn't. And if you don't belive God created man, as it says in the bible, why would you believe anything else it says? (Like the fact that there is a god at all) Do you believe eating shellfish is an abomination?? The bible says that too.

Unfortunately a lot of people see this in terms of black or white..God or no God. I don't see it that way. If you want to say that God in the current evangelical "God the Father Almighty" created the Earth (what about the rest of the infinite universe?) in seven days (aren't days measured as a complete rotation of the Earth..and how can you count "days" if the Earth had not been completed?).. then I say.. ah, NO. If you want to look at the idea of "God" and "creation" a bit more open mindedly...who's to say that creation isn't happening CONSTANTLY. SO called "miracles" happen every day. Babies are born, plants sprout, hurricanes form, matter decomposes, matter CHANGES FORM. There are millions of processes that occur CONSTANTLY...and things change..or can we say "evolve". Things most certainly DO change and evolve. I believe that "God" is everpresent..is not separate from us and is constantly creating..AND destroying (which is neccessary). I definately don't view God as a man (why would God have gender?) with a white beard sitting "up there" somewhere, picking and chosing what "he" wants to be involved in. Creation happens and evolution happens. This is just a quick response to a very complicated issue, which unfortunately people want to make it a simple either/ or, which I don't see it as.

Let me add *spoiler* about Hostel 2... If you think that a good movie ends with a gang of rabid gypsy children playing soccer with a human head, scoring a 'goal' between two trees (how HILARIOUS!), then by all means go see this this movie. BTW...this was NOT scary at all.

Hostel 2 Why did I pay to look at a steaming pile of shite? I do not know.

I think the point of the article was to show how lame Hollywood is at coming up with ideas for movies. -

Knocked Up was great. Hilarious (I was crying..I was laughing so hard), VERY raunchy. Also great on emotional level. Could relate to a lot of the material (especially if you are married). Highly Recommended.
