  1. first large scale in game test of the work done so far, well most of it... no where near the finished quality though as there isnt any smoothing on the land and its floating in the air rather than being dug down....
  2. fencing is at about half way... got half more to go of the vertical pointy posts, then they all need to get the 2 cross bracing planks...
  3. a 2nd update of how well the que line is coming along... its very slow going but here is how much has been done so far and what it looks like with the rest of the coaster...
  4. first shot of the fence work... this took a lot longer than you would think so will take forever to get it all done...
  5. finally managed to get hold of a full queue layout plan from another forum and was able to create this. as can see the queue line was huge in the past in relation to what is left... so far its just the path as the fences will take a while to put up, which will be the next update...
  6. this is a plan layout of the areas that still need to be completed and worked on a lot... as can be seen, there are quite a few areas that within their selves are not very large objects, but need a lot of attention to detail which can take quite a long time to put together... parts that can be seen are things id consider passing out as mini projects for someone to work on... like for example the chip shop, iv got the shell made but none of the details inside so that would be up for grabs to be done... or like the ripsaw refresh cafe building, again shell made no details... ripsaw and blade have been shown as rides done so far but they are by far complete... all the queue lines still need to be created... sky ride building hasn't even been started, same with sub terra and im not sure what to do for the monorail yet... and the brown marks on nemesis are what i think are the queue lines but i need help in trying to find a definitive layout for them, and there is still a lot of landscaping still to be created too along with the station still needing a tonne of work on the outside and inside... i wouldnt want to guess a percentage done so far coz if i was to say something like only half way done then that looks bad and would be soooo much more work to do... 75% maybe but i dont think im that far to be honest but that might be me being pessimistic.
  7. having got some greatly needed and appreciated help from someone (boz) the extended part of nemesis's queue line has been created... he did pretty much the whole queue line area, land and access roads, i just integrated it into the cleaner park file, sorted a little of the connections out and cleaned up some bits and pieces... he has done a great job dont you think?
  8. thanks mike541x, shame not had more comments but hey ho.
  9. i thought i would bring this to here and see the responces i get, hopfully all good one... It's been in the making for probably 2-3 years when I first started working with the process of No Limits tracks to RCT custom tracks, and I knew I wanted to make Nemesis because well, it's just the best ride and has so much going for it in the way of details. At the start of the project I just made the track and got it to work, which was hard enough at the time, but as that got finished there was just not enough detail to it. Working with various members from forums (nldave and then much later Boz from project towers) I have been slowly adding more and more to it... From the very beginning, was the track:- Which as you can see was never really that detailed to begin with in terms of textures, supports or any other scenery and the landscape was just done with the in game land, though later I did add a first gen texture to the track which looked quite good for the time As time moved on, the first major parts to be added were supports and the lift catwalk. The first gen lift catwalk was very high poly and not overly detailed, and the supports were not really connected to the track so later came the actual connections between support and track:- Then came quite a big pause on track details at the time as I thought they were good enough... which meant I started other things like the station, though only the interior was ever started due to the crazy complexity of the exterior:- Once I had started the station and a few other pieces, it came to me that this wasn't going to just be 1 ride, there were a lot of connecting scenery that flowed into the Forbidden Valley area, so rather than just a ride, I would make the whole area! This is when project Nem 20 was born, and it gave me a time scale to work with, nem20 referring to Nemesis's 20th anniversary in 2014. The first connecting CS to be made was the helix fence and path:- As I knew there would be a huge amount of other things to make, I turned my attention to trying to make a ride, Ripsaw, the very first shot of it, which was also the first in game test was this:- After Ripsaws first test, I went back to working on Nemesis where there was quite a lot of progress made on the models before I showed anything. The landscaping was being started, I was playing with the idea of how to make the waterfalls, and the first remake of the lift hill catwalk had taken place to reduce poly, clean up and retexture:- While working on the landscape, the queue line was always in the back of my mind, and I knew I wanted to make it peep friendly which meant having to be restricted to 4x4m path blocks that couldn't do diagonals... so there was me stumped on how I was going to do certain parts of it because they had to be diagonal. After thinking how can I do it, I went into the game and studied the path and how peeps walked on it, and the queue line... which led to me being able to see that they walked diagonally when the path is stepped so I was able to do the queue that goes below the loop:- After having worked quite a while with the blood tests to which there are videos on YouTube, I had finally found a decent texture and settings combination... for a while I did a lot of work with Ripsaw, then turned my attention to starting The Blade. Now that I had started more of the area with regards to the rides, their surrounding areas needed to be created, spent quite a bit of time working on them:- At this point in the time scale was when I introduced my project to the virtual towers project and started talking to Boz... he appreciated the amount of work I had put in and wanted to help, so gave me his Forbidden Valley mock up for Sub Terra so I could use it to help me progress with mine. I used a few bits and pieces from the file but they needed tweaking so they were more RCT friendly, like the drill piece at the top of the valley. Started out at 164000 poly which was just impossible to use so spending quite a while editing it, I got it down to 25000 which for those in the modelling world is a HUGE achievement. Also, from Boz's great work I was able to get the archway, edge arcade, Blade valley, the Burger Kitchen, fences, gardens, game stalls and rock work all done around this point, a lot of work took place:- Having spent a long time on all the surrounding areas, I decided to go back to Nemesis itself and after going to the park to take research photos and various detail notes, it was time to update the track... this meant a new texture for the track, rails and supports, and I created bolts that hold the track pieces together:- Now that the track had a bit of an overhaul, and I had some photos of other bits and pieces to work from, I started to add more details like signs, entrance arch, photo shop, walkway cages :- Now brings it up to not really that long ago where things started to take a big leap forward in detailing; brakes, friction wheels, and a completely custom made train to fit the track. I also changed the track texture again and this time it is actually made from a photo of the real track :- More details and big chunks of things have been worked on like the maintainence shed, footers & landscaping. Now brings us up to date to what has been happening - the station!! I have been putting this off for as long as I possibly can just due to the fact it will be crazily difficult to make. However, I have so far got all 6 legs done and they are pretty much as perfect as they are going to get with the limitations of how the track is, the size of the station and so forth:- The last thing to have just been done is if the CT is fully working in game. There were some rather interesting glitches while it was in production like the train ran backwards, the peeps were sat upside down under the train, there was even a stage where it would speed up going up hill and slow down going down hill, which led to it going back and forth at the top of the first corkscrew. It was rather funny to watch at the time and just before everything was sorted, the last glitch was that just the back car was backwards, which wouldn't be a bad thing to happen in real life now would it:- A short teaser trailer to show the ctr and track in action: So there we go, the whole story of how project nem 20 has been going so far and will be updated on here again and hopefully people will see it more for what it really is now. Thanks for reading, comments eagerly appreciated... more recenet than the whole backstory, As this shows, there has been quite a lot modelled... but a loooooong way off being any where near complete. At this stage I would probably say it's still only at maybe 50-75% as still needs tonnes of Nemesis queue, rock, land, the bus, waterfalls, the whole of Nemesis Sub-Terra, loads of signage, tree areas, rocks, shops, game stalls, the whole of the sky ride station building which will be all the internals as well, loads and loads and loads still to go.... At the current speed, I'm worried it won't get complete by the release date that I announced (March 29th, 2014) With the 20th anniversary of nemesis approaching very fast, this project is started to get close to possibly not releasing at the date that i wanted which was towards the end of march... so i thought i would show a very early preview of what things look like in the newly released No Limits 2. this is by no means a reflection of what the final product will look like so please understand that there are a lot of unfinished areas, untextured sections, missing details and with the newly implemented NL2 lighting engine, i will add lights inside the station so it can be seen. while walking i fell off the queue line due to it being really dark in that area, the lighting in NL2 though good, still suffers from the same shading issues as NL1 where objects come across a lot darker than they should, which means in time this project will hopefully optimized a little better to work with it.
  10. If I lower the lift height then it wont work at all... gravity doesn’t work the same on the small scale as life size... so no that isn’t gonna happen, and thus the lift angle cant be changed either coz of that...plus i know its not banked in a few sections due to the fact of how hard coaster dynamix is to build with... the plastic doesn’t just bend that easily to have it all perfect, been on the ride enough not to need POV vids to do it... the kits are not designed to recreate coaster layouts due to the fact they can never be the same scale to actually work... (Think the I305 model, and raptor model and so on...) nothing is perfect when building to this scale due to its limitations.
  11. Hello to all at Theme park review... I thought I would contribute to the community with my model of nemesis that I am making. So, back in December 2007, I got coaster dynamix kits as I wanted to make a scale working model of nemesis… to which though has been on other threads and sites while being built, I forgot to post here, sooooo a lot to look through of how its come to be so far, happy reading and picturing some construction videos as well... http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=XS82xb-cB54 http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=n4pRbpS5HvI [\URL] [\URL] and finally up to date on how its coming along, been a few years work so far, on and off, few problems that were a pain to sort out, but this is what stage its at now. NOW! that was a post of about a year ago, ive come up with a lot of problems while building it and its been sat doing nothing... BUT! new year and new enthusiasm to get it done to which i am, taking all the rails off and seeing as iv found a spray paint that finally sticks to the track im gettnig it all painted properly now... iv got an 8-10 week wait till the rail pack comes in stock so will have to wait till i get them befor it runs again which is a shame but at least itll mean ill get it all done to at least the fully painted track and supports.... once iv done that ill move onto the harder part of landscaping....
  12. Thriving, hmmm, well it hasnt been open for very long, and is technically still being built up. Weather has been terrible this summer but the north hasnt really had it as bad as the south. On one website i was on, it had only been opened on that day, and then was empty of people, as it was when I went today, however when was it busy before???? Bouncy Bouncy was funny to see the 3 girls on it, I dont think they really enjoyed it as much as they thought coz seemed to be bouncing them a lot, lol....
  13. Airtime&Gravity :- I didn't say it was run by one fair company, i think it might be a few that have got together to make one park, ride cables have been tarmacked into the ground. Poorly I might add, they are a trip hazard as I tripped a couple of times. I think it must be some form of permanent fair but with land rights for lodging for the ops, hence the caravans.... wrebbit :- It has been spell checked thanks, and indeed (Thanks wes), why be a backseat mod, and does it particularly matter, there's not much text there, you don't need to read.
  14. Has anyone else been to new pleasure land? I popped up today to see after reading about it online... All that is there, what it seems to me is, a group of travelling fairs have joined up to bring one large fair on the old site but called it NEW Pleasureland, lol.... The sad part is, there is still a lot of Pleasureland there. All the buildings are still standing but have been completely demolished inside all of them and await to be refurbished. The fun house, after being gutted traumatically (no pun intended of traumatizer) is starting to be rebuilt into just a "safe" kids play area with no original features left (wheel, bowl, moving stairs, rolling tube). One of the workers in there who was very nice, let me in with my cam and was telling me a little about whats gonna be happening which you'll see in the pics, but i was also told to say that "the fun house is reopening SATURDAY 26th JULY!" so come and play and I bring to you First I'll bring you the sad photos of what once was is now no more. Casablanca and the car park entrance fancy a drink in ricks bar... the pleasure land entrance sign still remains but... Amanda, take note so after the FREE ENTRY!!! we are met with this... the "park" was so dead, hardly anyone around at all for wht was a nice day in the summer holidays... slightly wrong, seeing as that is now at London castle... see, very dead. now, just as i said before, i thought this was a bunch or carny fairs, i guess there's not gonna be any more proof than... station still standing for some reason... right, so after we now know that what was pleasure land is dead, carneys have taken over, some hope comes shining through for the land. many of these are around, which can only mean one thing:- yep, that's right, RIDES... so i show you all the new attractions (which i might like to add, there are more now than have ever been at south port!) dog workers are cheap. see, not only one worker dog... so there you have it, the new pleasure land south port. you can make your own minds up if this is an improvement on the old, but with free entry and rides costing no more than £2, who can complain, and seeing as more rides should be coming (rumour is a looping star is coming) i would recomend to all, go there just to see whats happend, whats left and remoniss about what once was is now no longer
  15. you do know that there are tonnes of people that take cams on all the rides, and most ops don't care, u cant be banned for doing so which i have been informed by a probably the most senior ride manager there is on there, who don't care about taking cams on as long as not obvious and dangerous... but this is not what this forum is about, its about all the people who enjoy one thing, theme parks... so lighten up.
  16. what ever, ill do wht i like that there are no signs to say otherwise. copywrights are a bit out the window seeing as thev been on tv and available to acess for free... and i dont thing you tone is wright for this forum!!! and i dont care about infusion, wether it is or not the same, either way both or the same ride are as bad as eachother.
  17. yes, though was the "grand open" its been open for a month... not much of a turn out for the event and most of the stuff they said were there (mermaid, violinist in water) couldnt be seen by normal people as thed blocked the top off by big dipper for all the suited lot... loads of crap was said about the ride that wasnt true and hyping it up to be good... vernan lost his mic pack when he went on the ride and the gazette said angila not amnda which i think was funny... http://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/template/video.aspx?VideoPath=BLAC/vernon512k_stream.wmv&VideoID=2952&ArticleID=2934375
  18. yeah, i dont bother with weekends coz of how busy... and the ride situ is only like it is now coz of amnda wanting everyone to go on infusion, if all thr rides were open, thed be no queues for anythin what so ever... so i would think all will be open at the weekend...
  19. all parks say not to take cams on coz of health and safety blah blah blah, it was a secure item and thats all i cared about... no park will just say "please take camras onto the ride" would be good if they did though... and it is not traumatizer! yes, most is but for a start off, why would there be a piece of track still in the parking lot out the back? its a tighter track now, even just by looking at trauma pics, for a start the end bit after the inlines going to brakes is different, the brake runs are shorter, the brake runs are at a steeper angle, even two onride videos (trauma and infus) running at the same time shows its different... go ride it and you will see its not the same but is just as boring. edit: poped up today, ever less people that yesterday, no queue what so ever, more rides shut though... and for cams on infusion, asked rid op who said "you drop it, your fault", they dont actually care about it...
  20. video was taken by having it up my sleeve and taking it out on the pull up as there are no cams on this ride at all bar the photo... and it isn't traumatizer, i know everyone says it is but its not, its to shorter track, more twisted up to fit it into its smaller space, yes it has the same 5 loops but there are fundamental track differences that had to be made to make it fit...
  21. yeah, oh and i remembered a couple of other things about infusion 1. the trains are sparkly, the covers are impregnated with glitter, looks nice with the glistening sun on the water. 2. in the station, there is a voice over MSG for when the train is loading... (ill get a recording soon) but two things stick out for me, the first is "you'll experience 33g's" yeah, that would make me over 600 stone and dead... the other is they have actually used the launch of Rita (revving engines and scream) as a sound effect but slowed it down to sound like thunder i guess but it totally is Rita! also on the voice over it says "all recording equipment is strictly prohibited" what a load of crappy nonsense. 3. some of the water jets on the supports have already been turned off coz of the angle they project water, it gets blown back onto the walkway and soaking all that pass it, so now they are off... 4. Amanda was in the station on the first launch and when i got off, 2 guys actually walked up to her and said "can we shake your hand, you've done an excellent job with this" but it was the face on Amanda, it was like "omg, dirt, disease, UNCLEAN!!!" and she begrudgingly shook their hands.
  22. FIRST THINGS FIRST!!!! I AM FURIOUS WITH SOME RIDE OPS UP THERE, THEY ARE SO IGNORANT AND SELF OBSESED!!! GETTING TOLD I COULDNT STAND ON THE PATH BY THE HALF LOOP TO GET SOME PHOTOS, NEVER GOT A REASON AAGGGH, HATE THEM.... AND THEN AT THE END OF THE DAY, GOT THE LAST RIDE OF GRAND NATIONAL AND WAS WITH 2 OTHER PEOPLE, ONE WENT ONE WAY AND I WITH THE OTHER WENT THE OTHER, BUT I GET SHOUTED AT TO GET THE OTHER SIDE AND TRY TO MAKE ME SIT SEPRATE, I SAY IM WITH SOMEONE AND THEN IM IN THE WRONG AND ABUSIVE TO THE STAFF WHICH THEY SHOULDNT HAVE TO PUT UP WITH, AND THEY COULD HAVE ME REMOVED FROM THE RIDE!!!!!! HATE THE ****** ******* ***** THAT WORK THERE, SO ******* AAAAAGGGGGGGGGH Right, now after that... I bring you Yep, infusion opened today indeed and with all the hype of new stories, I think Amanda was wanting a much bigger turn out. Park opened at 12 but they said infusion weren’t gonna open till 12:30 which is fair enough but it was then that some fool tried to run 2 trains to quick and caused the computer to crash so took one off and opened at 1... which was the limit of the day. So as I got there, the shop was open at the top with the roller shutters down. How busy? oh and by the way, the reason everyone is at these points is the fact that all the major rides (big one, Valhalla, grand national) were shut to force the small number of people to ride this, oh yeah which you also had to pay extra for on the band. you could only get to ride it if you book online for £17.50 over the normal £12.50 online discount, and if you didn’t get the online band a £5 boarding card had to be bought to get on unless season pass holders or seven tickets.... And all those queuing, they were waiting to get onto the newly themed (bunged a few plat posts along the side) queue line Inside the shop, one stand with... Once down the steps, you also get to see some extra stuff that wasn’t visible before... FISH The station waits, looked ok but not anything very special Once boarded the train, you’ll see Now onto the ride, loads of shots to get you wanting more and trust me, there will be once you read all this thread There are all the pics that I took at http://s14.photobucket.com/albums/a343/coaster-inc/new%20lot/ if u want to check them out... so a nice lot of pics from its first public outing, in my opinion, it’s just the same as traumatizer was, only a shorter track and quicker time round but it’s NOT traumatizer (standard SLC) it is a lot shorter, smooth, loads more of near misses on the supports, if the winds right or wrong whichever way you see it, you do get wet on the jets... overall it really isn’t anything to get excited about so don’t get ya hopes up... And like I said, there was something really good for you at the end and I’m a man of my words, TWO VIDS, off ride and ONRIDE!!! So for all those that can’t get to it, here you are (quality is due to using snapper cam rather than video...) :- RMOV0047.AVI ONRIDE RMOV0018.AVI offride
  23. unfortunately i didn't get into the park, only to the fence at the site on the road under the park but still some good shots of stuff... OK, for a start, small thing, some water jets a camera man Nick Amanda and that's it for pics, noting was very special for pics... but lots of interesting vids.... will be posted at some point as it takes for ever to upload them... so some shots from the vids will be posted first... Amanda letting her hair down, i mean come on, i know the pleasure beach needs to be advertised but this must be desperate Amanda's first ride off infusion, looks like shes a bit teary in the eye and seeing as she don't like to ride them, IE to not been on the big one, might mean that this ain't gonna be good? lol, like we don't know that already the queue line made of show girls and guys all wearing the same clothing and is was used on the news bits on TV... oh yeah, the park was shut so... its closed Mondays and Tuesdays till may 25th a full train of those actors, and my god, i wonder if they got more money the louder they screamed... shot of the train through the bridge wall, kinda cool... passing water jets and for now, that's it, hope you all enjoy this little snippet of infusion or as the BBC put it, recycling to the next level
  24. oh yeah, forgot odessy but even so, it does only say SLC, not standard... also for anyone not to understand terminology, what is nemesis, its a looping coaster suspended below the track... (i know vekoma and B&M....) but like also, big one msg is tallest fastest steepest in europe... whats silver star... its taller even above sea level, faster and whats oblivion! and i do like the purple track coaster in the video, i want to ride that one UPDATE!!!!!! today was the press launch of infusion to all the papers with tonnes of camera crews too... i will post up a HUGE HUGE HUGE update of pics, vids and stuff for you all but 1.5Gb of vids to sift through and loads of pics so... but i will say, it made amanda cry coming off it...
