The Angry Darren Mullins
July 1, 2017: I would visit four parks (two on each side of the river that flows through Linfen in Shanxi , China today. Before I tell you about the parks, I have to tell you about the city. Linfen has the reputation of being "The Most Polluted City On Earth". What I actually visited today was a very green city with a clear blue sky. The parks were most clean, Binhe Amusement Park is a gem of a park. The city buses and taxis are also clean. The buildings are clean. I didn't see a single gas mask or oxygen tank. I was hoping to see Hell on Earth and instead, I got to see one of the cleanest cities I have ever visited. I was crushed. I must now face the world much wiser. Binhe Amusement Park: This is the nicest park in terms of ride selection in Linfen. There are two coasters here. a loopscrew and a mouse coaster. I rode the loopscrew, but for some reason, they did not let me on the mouse. I couldn't understand why. This park is one of the nicest parks I have ever visited. The rides are kept up nicely. Childrens Beach: This park is located a short walk north of Binhe and is a separate park. It has some basic rides for kids. Peoples Park: This park is a tired old park. There is a zoo here and a rusty log flume that has been SBNO for like 100 years or so. No other rides still stand here. Fenhe Park: This park has a lot of nice scenery and an area of defunct rides that appear to have closed somewhat recently. There is a small coaster here. I enjoyed my time in Linfen today. The city is nothing like the media suggests. It is a pleasant place to visit. I have now ridden 1067 coaasters, visited 537 parks and found 376 coasters before ACE or RCDB has found them. This is my first park in Linfen. It is Binhe Amusement Park. I like the entrance. Notice how much "pollution" you see... This exotic drop ride is just inside the gate. A nice carousel is here. a walk through haunted house is here. A jungle mouse is here. For some reason, it was not carrying passengers today. Binhe's Ferris Wheel is nice. A Chinese loopscrew called 3 Ring Roller Coaster is here. Look at that blue sky among all of the so called pollution. It was built a few years ago. I like these. Made in China... I enjoyed my ride on it. A little walk to the north of Binhe is Childrens Beach. It is a separate park. There are just a few basic rides here. Across the river is Linfen Peoples Park. There were rides here at one time. Only an old rusty flume remains. It is SBNO. You can see this flume has not operated in many years. Fenhe park is just to the south of Peoples Park. It has some nice scenery. There are some rides here, but they are all SBNO. One is a small coaster. It is very small. It doesn't look like it has been closed for too long. This will finish the TR.
