pupkick
My experience with other parks is that 4th of July weekend is usually pretty dead. But I'm wondering, based upon it being virtually in the middle of nowhere, anyone have experience with Silverwood around July 4th weekend? I'm looking at being there the 2nd/3rd (Sunday/Monday - Tuesday being the 4th), just wondering what kind of crowds to expect. Also, while i'm asking those with knowledge of the park/area. I'm driving up with the family, and while the Holiday Inn is the "closest", which hotel do you recommend for family stays.. relatively inexpensive, good (free) breakfast and internet, a good pool for the kids (the waterpark won't be enough!). Any other tips and recommendations welcome. Thanks!
dougr
We've only been there once, but I think I should point out Silverwood is only a few hours away from the Canadian border. Canada Day is July 1, which means EVERY Canadian will have Monday July 3 off. Hey, it will be Canada Day!
alpengeist04
I was at Silverwood last year around 4th of July. I believe it was the 6th actually. There were hardly any lines on the big rides. The most I had to wait was maybe three trains, and that was for the front on Tremors and Timber Terror. I think the water park was actually more crowded than the theme park. I was able to ride Tremors and Timber Terror around 8 times each by the early afternoon.
dougr
That week is one of my vacation weeks. There is a chance we could be there...
