david260172 Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 Hi there, we are 2 guys from the UK and we are planning a trip over to LA either Nov this year or early next year. As we have never been to the area before any advice on where to stay, what area to use as a base for the parks etc etc would be excellent. We know all the parks in the area (home work as been done on that front) but also if there is any events that we should try to get to and any Themeparkreview events your planning, would be a cool thing also. anyway i look forward to hearing what you guys can suggest. Dave and Cris
coasterlover420 Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 Places to stay: Six Flags Magic Mountain Knott's Berry Farm Disney Land Just some suggestions...
dougr Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 How long are you staying? What kind of attractions do you guys want to see...amusement parks, Hollywood/movie stuff, beach...? Are you going to rent a car? (Recommended if you're going to more than one place)
sixflagsmagicmountain Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 I would use the Disneyland area as a base. Stay in a hotel there, that way you are close to Disneyland, and Knotts is only a short drive away. From there it's a little bit of a drive to SFMM, but it's not too far, you could probably get there in 1-2 hours depending on traffic. Just a suggestion.
