shepp Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Finessing the previous "park vs. park" thread, I'll be making first visits to both PKD and BGW midweek during the second week in June, and I've got the usual crowds and capacities question: Assuming I get to the gates well before opening time, where should I head first and how can I best stay ahead of the crowds? Volcano before Hypersonic or v.v.? Get Tomb Raider over with? Any worthy coasters draw lower-than-average queues through the day? And similar questions about BG, though the ride choice is clearly smaller. With pluck and luck, y'think I can do all the major rides at each in a non-extended-hours day? Thanks!
CoasterFanatic Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Head to Hyper first, but make sure that you ask an employee if it will be open. I went last year and we waited with about 40-50 people at the rope by Hyper, only to find out it was closed when we got there. I usually go for Volcano late in the day. It just makes a better night ride anyway. Try to do the drop ride early too. Their lines can also get a little lengthy. During the day you can usually get on the following with little trouble. Bobsleds Anaconda Grizzley (If it's running 2) Hurler Shockwave (If you must) Scooby Ghoster Coaster (or whatever they call it these days) Rebel Yell I have also noticed that sometimes Flight of Fear will get pretty quiet at the end of the day. I will usually stand by the exit for a minute or two and then compare the capacity with the line waiting. If you stand there for 5 minutes and nothing comes out. Assume 1 train and rediculous waits.
Three Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 Even though this isn't my thread, thanks for the tips! Hopefully I can convince my girlfriend to go there so we can use 'em!
