8/31/05-Las Vegas!?!?!!?!

since I never wrote a TR (no photos, sorry!) on my visit to las vegas, I decided to write one, about 4 months later!

 

August 31st: This would be called "My Day" because i'm the coaster whore in the family, well, my brother is a coaster rider too, but he doesn't care as much as I do. We headed through the giant, fricking ass long corridor to the base of the Stratosphere Tower. We headed up the tower in our quick half minute ride in the elevator and arrived on floor 108 for X-Scream and Insanity. Since it was so early in the morning, NO LINES! WOOT!!! there were only about 10-11 other people on the top of the tower, just checking out the view and not riding.

 

I headed up another elevator to the floor (110 or 112?) to ride the high roller. I got my ride and rode the ride about 2-3 times. My brother went on all 4 rides at the top, I was too afraid to ride Insanity and X-Scream, and eep, Big Shot! yep, i'm a baby, that's for sure!

 

so after spending about 1-2 hours on the top of the Strat. We all headed to base and to the Sahara Hotel and Casino, to ride SPEED! the ride. one of the best rides I've ridden in Vegas. no lines here either, so we hopped into the 3rd row of the train, and 5..4..3..2..LAUNCH! that caught me off guard! wow, that 35-40 mph-ish launch really caught me off my guard! grr....i don't like that feeling.

 

after getting this ride done with, we headed to the Adventuredome. and almost got lost getting to the indoor park while on the casino floor!

:shock: so, we got a 18 dollar wristband for the park, went on canyon blaster and the hill after the loops just before the corkscrews has really good ejector air, i was ejected every time I rode! (and that was about 5 times!) we also went on the Slingshot Shot and Drop model tower they have by the chace inverter and the chance chaos. Rim Runner sucks, it doesn't get you very wet, and it's a fricking splash boat for pete's sake!

and i was denied the Miner Mike credit!!!! (CURSE YOU ELISSA, FOR CONVERTING ME TO WHORE-ISM!)

 

Then saving the best for last! MANHATTEN EXPRESS THE MOST EXSPENSIVE RIDE OF OUR 4 DAY VISIT TO VEGAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Umm.....no need.....to say.......much......here......sadly.......

 

I just thought it was as rough as Robb's Manhatten Express video screamed out!!!!

 

I got minimal headbanging in the middle of the train! really it's true!!!

I think's it's NYNY's 2nd or 3rd train that has minimal Headbashing in the middle!

 

EDIT: BTW, NYNY was running 3 trains for a 5-6 person line we encountered when we entered the line
