Southeast Trolley Pleasure Park

Recommended Posts

May 1, 1910

"Recently, the Southeast Trolley Company (STC) purchased a large plot of land at the end of their red line, in which to develop an amusement park. Silus McGregor, the trolley line owner, issued this statement: 'In the coming years, we hope to develop a destination that will become a favorite getaway from the hectic city life. Currently, we have several terrifying thrill rides, including the Leap the Dips side friciton coaster. We also have many shops and a boardwalk build along the beach.' The park will open on May 28th. Mayor Richard Carlton will be on hand for the grand opening celebration" (Ralph Warren- Daily Sun)

I think that pretty much explains it, but this is my new project. I'm taking this little trolley park through 100 years of with expansion addition and several other suprises along the way. Suffice to say this will be realistic... very realistic. Additions to the park will be made as certain inventions come into play and major world events will effect the park's business.

But I think I've talked enough... here's a screen (it's a small park right now, but it will grow). I should be showing this in black and white, considering it's 1910- but whatever.

And the file:

Please note that I won't be releasing one every year, but rather about every 10 years or when a major improvement comes around. I'll show the in-between years with complete screenshots.

Thanks! Enjoy.

UPDATE

I don't think I need to do a press release or anything this time because nothing was news worthy.

In 1911, little happenned. Several new staff members were hired to cope with the rising number of guests. Profits were reported as very good.

In 1912, the beer garden was replaced with a Nathan's hot dog stand (a predessor to the 1916 stand at Coney Island). Park approval ratings were high and guests are said to be very pleased with the ride selection.

Near the end of the 1912 season (November), workers were seen across the railroad tracks setting up a constuction fence. Speculation is that the park will be installing a new ride, but the owner will not comment.

No download this time because it's nothing special, but if you want one, then let me know.
