DenDen Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 I've been itching to build a new computer lately, my little P4 2.4Ghz is starting to show it's age. So I like to do my homework before I actually go out and start shopping for parts. I mean "REALLY" do my homework... but anyway, in the midst of researching video cards, I found this.... http://firingsquad.com/hardware/ati_all_in_wonder_x1800_xl/page13.asp Call of Duty 2 is now being used as a benchmark for PC video cards. You may have already known this, I dunno, I thought I'd give you a heads-up on it. It's the first time I've seen this game used as a benchmark. Usually, you see the typicals... Quake, Unreal, Doom, etc... Very Cool. Now I'll have to buy COD2 with the new PC, just to check it out, and I'm not a gamer.
robbalvey Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 Very cool. Although keep in mind I did not work on CoD2 for the PC. I worked on COD: Big Red One for PS2, XBOX, and NGC. But still, very cool to see! --Robb
Kenny Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 You work for EA? YOU WORK FOR THE DEVIL! Challenge nothing, am I rite?
Kenny Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 ....oh yeah! Sorry, it has been [insert lame excuse here].
WillMontu Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 I thought their slogan was "Challenge Everyone". I'm challenged enough from Sims crashing randomly without warnings or error messages. I wonder why they never fixed the "naked DJ" bug in Vacation. Also, anyone seen the new Sims "complete" collection? In case you didn't buy all seven expansion packs, you can get them all in one package now.
