YoshiCraft2011 Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Hello all. My family and I are going to visit Knott's Berry Farm for the 5th time during mid-August. The hotel package we booked includes three Knott's Berry Farm/Soak City tickets per guest. The ticket also allows for entry to the park an hour early. Since this is a forum dedicated to theme parks, I want some tips. 1. How long are the lines expected to be? Last year, they weren't horrible. Can I expect them to stay the same? 2. What rides should I ride on first? Last year, Xcelerator was closed, so I really want to try it out this year. Are there any other recommendations? 3. Is GhostRider any smoother? I remember that the coaster was bumpy but enjoyable. Maybe it's because it is the only woodie I've been on... 4. How's the food? Are there any specific restaurants you would recommend? I would really appreciate if someone would answer my question. Thanks!
XYZ Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 1. Lines are longer on weekends (obviously). A good amount of schools are still in summer break during mid-August, so there will be lines, just nothing unbearable. 2. If I'm at the entrance at opening, I usually do Silver Bullet, Montezooma, and Jaguar first. Then, I go to the Boardwalk and do Supreme Scream, Xcelerator, and Coast Rider. GhostRider usually has its line go down later in the day. 3. GhostRider is still very rough. 4. My favorite place inside the park is Johnny Rocket's. You can buy Mrs. Knott's chicken in the Marketplace right outside the park, though I've never been that big of a fan of Knott's chicken. There's a TGI Friday's in the Marketplace and a Claim Jumper across the street.
