Question about Cedar Fair Platinum Pass

OK, so I have a 2-night, three day trip to Cedar Point with my family planned for this summer. I also plan to take a solo trip to Worlds of Fun. So I'm wondering a few things about how to maximize my value.

 

We are going to stay on the premises at Cedar Point, so we will get early entry through that. The questions I have are: If I get a Platinum Pass for WOF, will I automatically get early entry at CP and other CF parks? If not, will I still get early entry by staying in the hotel even though I am not purchasing my particular tickets through the hotel (but my wife and son are)?

 

I guess what I'm really asking is that since its like 8 bucks cheaper for a WOF pass, is there any downside with relation to early entry and other key perks at Cedar Point that would make it better to just spend a little more for the Cedar Point pass?

I bought a Platinum Pass last year, activated at Knotts and no problems using it at CGA, KI, KD, Dorney and CP, got all the early entry (where offered), discounts, and other perks at every single park. The pass itself didn't designate any particular "home park", and just had the Cedar Fair logo on it. So you should be fine.
