Six Flags Great Adventure & Cedar Point 2013

We have booked flights to New York in August. Our main reason is to visit Six Flags Great Adventure (19th) & Cedar Point (27&28),we are English and have minimal knowledge of what these parks are like (queues lengths etc.). Should i buy fast track for both/one park? which fast track to buy? which day to buy it for? What order should i ride the rides? Any tours of rides? ANY useful advise you guys/gals have it would be very valuable.

There are a lot of threads about what to do for SFGAd and CP. Search a bit to get some basic ideas.

 

Those days shouldn't be overly crowded, but I would still get the Flashpass at Six Flags and the Fast Track at CP. The weather at CP can be VERY unpredictable and you may need the pass to get all the credits quickly in the case of weather. We always get Gold at Six Flags and the plus at Cedar Fair parks.
