cfc
^Agreed. If you're going to spend three days in that part of Ohio, you may as well drive to Santa Claus, Indiana, and hit Holiday World, rather than spending three days at KI. (I like KI well enough, but you deifintely don't need more than a day there.)

andybarnes84
I haven't checked this topic in ages and just came across David H's post, many thanks for your extensive advice! The final itinerary I've settled for is as follows (hotels are already reserved too), I think it's manageable compared to the original idea: Sat 9th June - Arrive & NYC S - NYC M - SFGadv T - Morey's Piers W - Washington DC T - BGW F - KD S - Knoebels (afternoon-evening) S - Hershey M - Dorney T - Quassy & Lake Compounce W - SFNE Thursday 21st - NYC & fly back Once again thanks for all the advice has been hugely helpful. robbalvey
Steve Harris. Do some route planning, and seriously consider this: NYC SFGadv SFGadv DORNEY DAY & AFTERNOON - EVENING AT HERSHEY HERSHEY (skyrush) KNOEBELS MORNING DRIVE - KENNYWOOD AFTERNOON/EVENING FEEE DAY FOR ROAD CEDAR POINT CEDAR POINT CEDAR POINT KINGS ISLAND NYC FREE DAY NYC FREE DAY BACK TO RIO Notes: - Dorney shouldn't need a full day, and Hershey does that pass where if you buy your tickets the night before for the next day, you get in the last 3 hours of the parks operating evening. - Get a Flash Pass at GAdv. Do it. You'll be so happy you did. - Add Knoebel's and Kennywood. Both great parks! Knoebel's is amazing at night. So is Kennywood. You could even do Hershey for 2-3 hours in the morning if you need to, and then head over to Knoebel's in the afternoon/evening. - I cut your Kings Island time down to one day, because I honestly don't think you'll need more than one full day, but you'll see this itinerary is also a day shorter than what you originally proposed, so you can add that day back if needed. - In NYC - book Scotts Pizza Tours - www.scottspizzatours.com as it's a great, fun way to see some of NYC! hope that all helps!
