First Visit/Pass Processing TR: 5/27

Got to the park around noon, and the parking lot wasn't to crowded but, there were a ton of buses. Got in quick and got my pass processed. Then me and my friend Jack decided to start off the season with Raging Bull. Wait was about 25-30mins. not too bad, but it was lunch time. Got into the station and was a little dissapointed when they told of where to go, mainly because we wanted the back and got put right in the middle, which means no airtime So we got into the line with a Couple and a kid, the guy sorting people had told us to ride with the Dad and daughter because the mom was walking through, so the gates open and UGH! and there 5 people for 4 seats, so the mom sits down in one and the kid and dad are talking and me and my friend are just waiting. It goes on for a short time and endswith me sitting next to the two adults with no kid and my friend getting an open seat in the back row. But Raging Bull ran good minus the little B&M Rattle.

We then got off and headed down the exit and decided to go on The Giant Drop. I'd never gone on it before but it was empty so I said, what the heck, and got in line. I was really neverse because I'd only been on a shot tower and not a drop tower. The climb was nerve recking but, the drop Kicked Ass I loved it!

Next, we headed to American Eagle for our next ride, You could tell how crowded it was becuase when we passed the food court it was packed, I also took a look at the old car ride and it still is only a pile of cement. Moving onto American Eagle it had about a 20min. wait. Mainly because it was only red side open, but while we were in line Blue opened and we got on very quick and boy was Eagle hauling, I don't know what the did but it seemed alot better than normal. We stopped to look at "Kidzoplis" and honestly I was not impressed. It look terrible, all the themeing is gone and it looks like a ghostown, I really hope six flags does something with it because right now its not good.

Moving on through the park, it was around 1 and the park exploded with people all the Q's filled up. Then we passed the Go Karts...one word....bleh. It looks so ugly, plus we lost another Kids area. Which brings me to one of the reasons why I'm so disappointed. Sfgam does so well because it has rides for everyone, mainly families. Now 1 of 3 kid swections is gone, 1 looks terrible, leaving one small area for kids rides. Its like "1 step forward and 2 steps back" with six flags. They seem like there turning a new leaf and then they do this. Oh well, I'm done with my little rant, we continued on and the only ride that had a short line was the Dark Knight so we went on it, also because I wanted to see how the new movie system worked. The Mood is totally killed, Dark Knight used to be a "medicore" ride with a "cool and interesting" story, now its just a wild mouse in the dark with random clowns with knives and guns. Not to mention while in line past the movie room you can now here music that is played on the TV's, which only kills the mood more.

It was around 2 O' Clock and we only had an hour left we hit Giant Drop again, Triple Play and the Columbia Carosel, stopped to look at rip tide bay which is looking great and left. All in all, not a terrible, quick trip but no a good one. Ride Ops were all polite, just dumb Six flags and dumb "GP" made it bad.

Ride Count:

Raging Bull x1

Giant Drop x2

American Eagle(Blue) x1

Dark Knight x1

Triple Play x1

Columbia Carosel x1

Trip #2: 6/6/11

Today, I headed over to park for another short visit. First we hit Raging Bull back row =

Giant Drop broke down on us in line, then the same thing happened in line for the Eagle! Ugh. Everything looked pretty croweded except southwest Territory and Hometown Square so that were we spent most of our time. Took a mellow ride on the Viper, and Whizzer. Finally got on Giant Drop after it broke down again. With all the heat we were pretty much dying so we took a few rides on Sky Trek Tower and Columbia Carosel, drank alot of shot sized cups of water and headed out.

Ride ops were very friendly, no "GP" problems led to a very nice and calm, but hot, day at Six Flags. The whole day we envyed the people at Hurricane Habor. Got a few shots of Riptide Bay and the park fro

Sky Trek Tower, they will be uploaded very soon.

Ride Count:

Raging Bull

Giant Drop

Viper

Whizzer

Rue Le Dodge (My friend had never done Bumper Cars before)

Columbia Carosel

Sky Trek Tower

*all one time

Also a little juicy insider for you all.

A family friend of ours works for the Village of Gurnee. He is an engineer and is about the 2nd or 3rd highest status wise. Part of the village's job is to approve for the building of new rides at six flags. He said "Six Flags will be building a new roller coaster, consturction should start early fall" He said it would be a big coaster and he was sure of its location. Now I don't know what he means by big, it could be Green Lantern big, or Raging Bull big, I'm also asuming its going where Slashwater falls was....Let the specutlation begin....
