sportscapper Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Alvey - I have seen your videos for the new Twister at Grona Lund. This ride's statistics are mild, but the ride looks amazing. This looks like a unique coaster with lots of quick pops of air. They just build a smaller version (if you can believe that) of this coaster in Connecticut. I'm thinking about taking the trip to ride it. On a scale of 1-10 what would you rate this ride? Also, what kind of air-time are we talking about when riding this thing?
SharkTums Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 ^Keep in mind I'm pretty sure that the Quassy 'version' of this ride is very different and much more a family/kids ride than the Twister at Grona Lund.

I have been on Twister 30 times or so now, and tried out every different seat. It is a great ride! Even though it is not that tall or that long, it provides excellent action all the way around. Lots of good airtime (last row is amazing), tight turns, close headchoppers (in one place, you can actually touch the protective glass between Twister and Jetline, the Schwartzkopf steel above) and then more tight turns, and again, and again. I don't think I have ever been on a ride with so much action in so little time. The closest comparsion would be the Cornball Express at Indiana Beach. But that ride doesn't have the Timberliner trains, who provide a fantastic ride experience. So dont bother going to connecticut, same up money for a trip to Sweden instead!
