Dacorian Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Like every year we return to the north of Germany to enjoy some German parks. Last year it was a bit different when we chose Fort Fun, Tripsdrill, Skyline Park and Europa Park above this. But now it's time again for the old habit. First we start with Germany's only theme park by the sea, Hansa park. This because I wanted to see the new rollercoaster ride (with a very strage name' Schlange Von Midgard'. One of the first family coasters from Gerstlauer in a Viking theme. Hansa park is a very beautiful park with many flowers and plants, a nice view to the sea, cheap food and unique attractions. And i like to say that this park is the owner of my favorite roller coaster, the Gerstlauer Launch/ EuroFighter/ Darkride: Curse of Novgorod. A must do for every coasterfanatic! This park currently has a main street under construction, with influences from Paris, Groningen and Bruges. And the first ride by it's entrance is the 32 year old looping coaster from Schwarzkopf 'Nessie. Wow, old machine, a true classic! Anaway, maybe pictures say a lot mor than just words... and I made many, many onrides in this park, enjoy! The new ride: Schlange Von Midgard Looping ship 'Fliegende Hai (Flying shark) Looping coaster 'Fluch Von Novgorod (excuse me for my screaming) Power Tower 'Monte Zuma' onride Crazy powerd coaster in Mexican theme 'El Paso express: I Love this spooky entrance! Novgoroood! OMG, crazy machine! Me in the oversize bell: Now, on to the next stop in our trip through Germany. This is for 'Heide park Soltau'. This name maybe sounds like it's more like a center parks, but it's actually a park full of thrill rides and little real family rides. I wanted to go here for Heide park's new ride: Krake! A pirate themed B&M Dive Machine. It's a bit short but a cool ride anyway. This is the 4th top ride for this park after 'Colossos' (62 meter high woodie), 'Desert Race (Intamin launch) and Scream (103 meter high Gyro drop). We stayed in Hotel Port Royal, Hotel Heide Park. A pirate themed hotel just like the Krake, just on the other side from the hotel. We could see a skyline from Heide park and it's amazing to see all this coaster violence from our bed. Unlike parks in my area (Belgium/ Holland), this german park is very cheap in food supply and the attraction is a coaster fanatic so great. You can see this as a Six flags park with many beautiful decorations in and around the rides. Krake Onride (sorry for it's low quality, but the safety rules are very strict, I was able to film with my Mini- Can, with the people of Heide park knowing it) Bobbahn onride And for this special time, i tryed to do something special: Natural soundtrack in the 'Scream area, hope you like it! Pirates! first experience of the day is an immediate credit. 166: Krake! Pff..2th or 3th row? Holy crap! Free Fall! 103 meter free fall in this horror themed Gyro drop. Crazy launch of death in Desert Race Fantasic Splash battle in pirate theme! Again: Krake! Hungry animal in the waters! Forest of supports And the last stop is at Movie Park Germany, the former 'Warner Bros Movie World Germany'. Unlike the two previous parks is this a place better for families with children. Many dark rides, an indescribably beautiful Rapid River "Mystery River" and a few rides like a standard SLC RCCA or a wooden coaster. The only unique thrill ride is the Gyro Drop 'High fall. Not very high but... damn, how can I describe this... You don't really sit down, in fact, this only this is a small protection between the legs and Security brackets. And if that's not enough your seat tilt down when you reach the top. The drop in this way is very intense. The wooden coaster 'Bandit' seems to go without wheels, this is back seat a disastrous way to pure pain. That nobody can sustain an entire day. But, like I said, this sort'a things is better to see with onrides and pics, enjoy! The new ride/ indoor coaster 'Van Helsings Factory' is ready next month. This are my onrides: Crazy surfer, Disco coaster onride: Mystery River (Use to be the Neverending story) Many streets in this park. And now off to Spain for the other Warner Bros park in Europe.
SoCalCoasters Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Van Helsing's Factory is looking really good! Great TR, parks like these don't get seen as often as they should!
deathbydinn Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Thanks for posting this! I always love seeing pictures of Hansa, I really am hoping to head out there some day, the whole park just looks great with some interesting rides and really nice theming. Krake looks really great as well, wouldn't complain about a few mini-divers popping up in the US. Nice to see Heide put in a ride that isn't white and green.
