Corkscrewy Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 I've seen some of the incredible work as far as custom scenery and even custom rides for RCT2. So my question is, is it possible to make custom track pieces? I don't know that much about all the custom objects the game has and have no idea as far as making them is concerned. But I know there's plenty of people out there who do. I just think it would be incredible if it was possible to have wider turns, better transitions, and so on and so forth. But I'm sure this question has been posed before and I'm sure the answer is no but, it's fun to dream. -Josh
djbrcace1234 Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 The answer no, hence, this is why merging two or more pieces of track generally is the best ways to make Realistic looking coasters. The reson behind this is track pieces are hardcoded, and because of that, it is only possible if someone was to make a new exe program, or I believe a G2 Dat ( this is the basis of Rct modify.) So...Realistically it is possible, but it's unrealistic in the form of introducing it on any of the previous RCT titles.
Corkscrewy Posted December 25, 2010 Author Posted December 25, 2010 Thanks for clearing that up Derek haha now I know.
Myself Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 Theoretically, though, if you conformed to the track direction of the normal ride, and had a good trainer, you could probably make scenery items of track not in the game, such as realistic antique auto track.
braztaz Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 The only thing I can think of is having a piece of scenery for each angle of the custom track they made....and then build an invisible track below it, but that would take forever and wouldn't be worth it
