The Angry Darren Mullins Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 I went to Zhuhai early this morning to visit some parks in Zhuhai and Zhongshan. My first park of the day was the only high point of the trip. The Quanlin Resort is in the neighboring city of Zhongshan and has a powered coaster and a mouse coaster. The mouse is called In The Woods Flying Mouse. I rode it and surprisingly, it was pretty smooth. This mouse is well-maintained. I couldn't find the powered coaster as it sits in an area away from the main amusement rides. A directory didn't list the powered Dragon coaster at the park, so I missed this one. I will go back at some point and ride it. There is a log flume at Quanlin Resort that looks like it closed a long time ago. I took a couple of pictures of it. Part of it no longer stands. The park reminded me a lot of some of the parks I visited in Korea. My second park was in the city of Zhongshan and is called Zimaling Park. Zimaling Park opened in 1993 and is a massive city and recreation park. There is an amusement park section to the park and after a great deal of walking, I found the rides. I am sad to report that the rides have not be in operation for a while. There is a tree growing through the lift of the mouse coaster. There is a kiddie coaster called Loop The Loop. I took some photos of some of the rides and some of the scenery and then left. I was disappointed. On the way back to Zhuhai, I stopped at Pearl Land. I was here three weeks ago and the two big coasters were closed. They were closed today. I left without even going into the park. The coasters usually do not run on days the park is not crowded (most days). Pearl Land could be a nice park, but they need to run the coasters. They show the coasters in their promotional material and on the website. This park is a total joke. I would much rather visit the nearby Haibin Park. At least the coaster there is not SBNO. If you go to China, do not waste your time and money on Pearl Land. This is called Loop The Loop even though it has no inversions. Another photo of Loop The Loop
boboix Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 I guess this is one of the best resort I've ever seen because you just don't enjoy the rides and other amenities but you also enjoy nature. It is so relaxing and it's full of fun. The roller coaster was so awesome when your at the top you'll see a beautiful view surrounding the park.
