popny85 Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Hey guys, I'm new to the forums, I have a question. I'm planning on hitting up the Virginia parks for Columbus Day Weekend, and was just curious, based on previous expriences, what were the crowd levels and wait times at these parks during that holiday weekend, especially with the Halloween festivities. Not expecting a crystal ball reading or anything, but some feedback would be GREATLY appreciated. I always go to Six Flags Great Adventure for their Fright Fest, but it's always been a nightmare with the crowds, and excessive wait times of over 2 hours for rides and attractions, should I expect the same for these two parks? It will be my first time at both parks, and would like to experience the rides as well as the Halloween attractions (I know, very ambitious). Thanks.
KingB24 Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 It really depends on the weather, even during Columbus Day weekend. If it's rainy and cold, chances are, they won't be too busy. If it's fairly warm and clear skies, prepare for a busy night. Saturdays are usually the busiest, and I prefer Fridays because from past experience, at least at KD, it's usually empty even with ok weather. But with it being Columbus Day weekend, watch out for crowds either way. Also, make sure you hit up Club Blood at KD's Haunt! Best maze ever!
