OzCatter Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 This is the beginning, the TR, pics will come later, after three weeks, I've yet to redo em, make em better. Sunday: Drove all day, started at 3 PM CST, drove through midnight. Monday: Got to the hotel at 2 AM, woke up at around 7. Took my mom to an interview with her company. Then me and Meghan, you know, my sister, headed to SFOT. We got Superman around a dozen times, using the single rider line. But this time, they kept paring us together. We wanted to get Titan, didnt cause the line was too long. I finally got her on Texas Giant, which is still rough. We got on Shockwave and stayed on several times. We did some other stuff I really dont remember but oh well. We then ate at Whataburger, and took off to Houston. I got two Six Flags parks, 250 miles away from each other, in one day. We got to SFAW at around 7:30 PM, just enough time to do some stuff. I first got to: Serial Thriller: 6/10 I thought this one was going to be a whole lot worse, but I was actually surpised that it wasnt as bumpy as I expected. Not too bad of a ride. We then headed towards my 50th coaster, which I had not decided yet. So I rode Swat, which is a 10. It was just so intense of a ride, I am so glad that S&S decided to use this in other parks. I then decided my 50th will be: Greazed Lightin': 9 1/2/10 What a great golden classic. I am glad I finally hit my 50th, it took so long. It was so great. That rush of a classic in your face hits you hard. I headed to Batman: The Escape, bad mistake. B:TE: 2/10 Did this suck or what. I mean, if it wasnt rough, it would still be a 2 as for the bike seats, which crushes a mans strong part. I dont wanna talk about it anymore. Then I headed for the last ride of the night. Texas Cyclone: 9/10 I found the best wooden in Texas. This ride was pretty much smooth, with good transactions. I rode in the back also, and we were flyin through the track. After that I headed back to the hotel, right across the highway from AW. Tuesday: Headed back to SFAW, did some of the same rides again with my dad. I also hit Viper, which was extremly smooth, smoother than the B:TR at SFOT! I also hit Ultra Twister, which was ok except for the whole bruise your sholders thing. I finished the park with Dungeon Drop, man for my first Intamin Drop, I could use another right now. That night I headed to the Astros game, it was so nice watching baseball in air conditioning. They had the roof closed for this game, and it was very enjoyable for the heat was in the 100s with the humidy. Roy Oswalt started, and pitched a complete game. I called the game too, said that it was going to end with a bottom of the 9th home run single shot. The ball flew right above my seat by the bullpens, and I started yellin and screaming with every 33,000 people there. It was great. Wedndsday: Went to Galveston, swam, went to Kemah Boardwalk, had tons of fun. I will tell more about that one later. Thursday: I went to Go Ballistic Video Game Center. Played Xbox Live and PC games for 4 hours, very very enjoyable. Then we went to the Galleria, fun gigantic mall. We had dinner at this awesome Greek place, Niko Niko's. Yeah! Friday: Got out a little late, saw San Jacinto Memorial. Pretty nice. Then went to Fry's Electronics store, it's like nerd heaven! If you find one, go to it! We then hit the road and got to OKC at 9 PM, ate Taco Cabana, and slept to the sounds of recorded beach sounds. Saturday: I went to FC, was there like 2 hours. I started off with... Silver Bullet: 7/10: I liked Viper much better, it seemed much smoother than this one. Bullet had rough transitions and wasnt so comfy. I also thought the trains looked like trash. And let me tell you something about FC, every coaster does the same thing. They have no gates in front of the train, so everyone waits by the gate to the gates, then they let them in and ride. I then headed to Wildcat. Wildcat: 10/10 Biggest surprise of the trip! Very very smooth, great PTC trains, tons of airtime, and great station. I'm sorta disapointed that this was moved away from KC, as I would have rode it everyday til I move. IT WAS GREAT! I then went to Eruption, which was insane, with the tilting chairs, no telling when it would launch, did I mention it was free! Then I rode some other stuff, including the tower ride, Hangman, they can get rid of it now, they have Eruption. Then I hit Diamondback. Diamondback: 7/10 I see why I like Schwartzkopf shuttles better. This was weird nonetheless. You entered at the front entrance of the park, and the lines of course were awkward. I didnt wait for anything all day, well I was there from 10 to 12. It was a little rough, and I thought it broke down on the second flat part, it took forever to get off, stupid ops. -Cal
