The American Red Cross certified lessons will be taught by Aquatica’s water-safety instructors. The lessons will be in the wave pool called Big Surf Shores and in the splashdown area of the nearby Whanau Way slide. The cost is $199 for eight classes, but annual passholders receive a $100 discount. Level one classes begin June 14; level two classes start on June 28. Enrollment deadline is 48 hours before the first class. An Aquatica pass for a parent or guardian of a child enrolled in swimming lessons sells for $49.99 – but the ticket must be scanned by 9 a.m. and can be used only on days the swimming lessons take place.
