Angry_Gumball Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 I thought I'd bring up an interesting topic as I found myself getting back into yo-yoing. Anyone else here do it and/or any good at it? If so, post your stories, collection, etc. After all, being coaster/theme park enthusiasts, this hobby also involves things spinning, gravity, physics... I got started back in like the 5th grade maybe 1995ish after buying a cheap Duncan Imperial ($3 yo-yo). After mastering the classic tricks, I got everyone in my elementary school (Probably a good 20 of us or something) into yo-yoing. Since up until the 2000 yo-yo fad died off, I was buying every type of Duncan available at the local Walgreens, a few Yomegas (Fireball, Brain, Raider). I just recently got back into messing with them possibly reliving my childhood or simply having fun doing it. I now currently have a Duncan Imperial, Freehand, Mosquito, Limelight (Best lightup yo-yo ever), Brain (same one as I had when I was younger), and a winged Fireball (modified with a bearing). I will probably be never too old for this stuff, lol. Trickwise, I'd say that I'm back to the beginning with all of these new tricks...most fancy trick I can do right now are Brain Twisters, plus all of the classics I could do as a kid. How about you guys?
KevinM Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 I could never get them to work. So as far as that era of my life goes, I've stuck with the Razor scooter.
