SFMM on friday or saturday? Flash Pass?

I'm planning on going to LA from the 5/20-23, When is the best day to go to SFMM?

Should I go friday 5/21 or saturday 5/22 and get a flash pass? Saturday is open for an extra 4 hours, but is it worth going even with a flash pass? By "worth going" I mean will it be too busy that the flash pass does no good?

 

If friday is the better choice, should I still get the flash pass? Which flash pass should I get?

I would say that Friday would traditionally be the lighter day. Check the parks event schedule and see if anything is going on either day.

 

Personally, I would ALWAYS recommend the Flash Pass. Even if the coaster lines are only 20-30 minutes, why wait 20-30 minutes when you can wait less than 10? When you add up all that time, it's a TON more coaster riding you can do in a full day!

Which flash pass should I get? I was thinking of just getting the regular one, but the gold claims significantly less wait times, how much less wait time is the gold compared to the regular?

I just visited SFMM on a saturday and it was crazy, huge lines, BUT I got a Platinum flash pass and can't even begin to recommend it enough!. You can ride twice without getting up your seat and save A LOT of time!.
