Waterworld California has sent us a press release and some pictures regarding their latest addition for their fifteenth season.

Summer is finally here! Waterworld California, Northern California’s biggest and best water park experience, celebrates its 15th anniversary season in 2010 with the addition of Lil’ Kahuna’s Waterworks, an all-new, interactive water play area for kids of all ages!

This exciting “sprayground” features more than 15 wet-and-wild elements guaranteed to provide non-stop drenching thrills for young park-goers to beat the summer heat. Complete with giant waterfall archways, fountains, geysers, water-powered seesaws and swings, tipping buckets and pint-sized waterslides, this vibrant area is the perfect way for kids to ‘splish and splash’ to their heart’s content. Lil’ Kahuna’s Waterworks is located in the Park’s Wild Water Kingdom area and makes its splash-tacular debut on opening day – Sunday, May 9.

“For 15 years, Waterworld California has been known as the San Francisco Bay Area’s leader in world-class water park entertainment,” said Paul Kimura, general manager for Waterworld California. Lil’ Kahuna’s Waterworks, while geared towards our younger guests, is the perfect addition to our already impressive line-up of waterslides and attractions.”

Always looking to enhance the guest experience, Waterworld California will more than double the amount of seating with new lounge chairs throughout the Park – making it easier than ever to find that perfect spot to relax and sunbathe after a ride on one of your favorite attractions. In addition, a new Calypso Cabana village will be introduced with several new cabanas available for daily rental adjacent to the all-new Lil’ Kahuna’s Waterworks.

Plus, Waterworld California will give guests new reasons to visit throughout the season with an exciting line-up of new special events, multi-cultural celebrations and concerts.

With so much to see and do, one day at Waterworld California just isn’t enough! Guests looking to join our 15th anniversary celebration can enjoy a full summer of family fun with the purchase of a 2010 Season Pass. Already the best entertainment value around, season passes are just $39.99 each – and only $8 more than a single-day general admission ticket!
