robbalvey
For those of you who have the many different versions of the CSQ200 Thermal DVD CD Printer and are having trouble getting your driver to work in Windows 7 (Windows7, Win7) or Vista the following instructions worked for me. The CSQ200 CSQ 200 Thermal DVD CD Printer Driver is currently only available for Win ME and Win XP, but this worked in Windows 7! Some of the many versions of this printer include the UPrint, EZ Dupe Magic Thermal Disc Printer, Primera Signature Z1 and many others. Please keep in mind that I am not a "tech support" person, just a customer who bought this printer and then upgraded to Windows 7. After finding out the original drivers didn't work in Windows 7 by just simply installing them, I had to figure out this roundabout way of getting the printer to work. I have posted this as more of a reminder to myself as to what I did to get the printer to work in case I need to do this again, and hopefully someone out there who is having the same trouble will also find this topic helpful. Good luck! --Robb Alvey robbalvey@themeparkreview.com Using the driver CD that came with the printer, right click on setup.exe and select "run as administrator." Let the software install as normal. Once this has installed.... Click on your start menu (Win 7 logo in the lower left hand corner) and select "Devices and Printers." Right click on the printer (CSQ200) and select "Properties." Select the "Hardware" tab and click "Properties." On the driver properties screen click "Change Settings." Now click "Update Driver." You want to "Browse your computer..." for the driver. You want to browse until you find the driver folder "win2kXP" which should be on the CD that came with your printer. (In this case I had copied it over to my HD.) At the windows security screen (if this comes up for you) select "Install the driver anyway..." and let the driver install. Once that's all done, Launch the Thermal Printer software and PRESTO! It works in Windows 7! Edited April 4, 2010 by robbalvey
