RCT2 - Africa - Oasis - Expert Park

This is the last park I have to complete but no matter what I try no guests will enter the park.

 

Has anyone else had this problem or have any tips on how to rectify the problem?

Maybe your entrance price is too high. Sometimes if the price for people to get into your park doesn't reflect how good your park is, then the people won't enter. Try changing the price to FREE, and see if that works.

^ It's a free entry park and you pay per ride. There is travel to the main bit of the park and I made that free but it has not made any difference.

Since price to enter the park is not an issue try replacing all your flat rides and any pre-made tracked rides you have in the park. Not all at once just one every 2 game weeks or so.

 

Example, remove a carousel and replace it with another one in the same spot. Yes you are going to lose money on the old one but you should make up for it in higher ticket fees and of course every time you build a "NEW" ride even if it is just a replacement of an old one more peeps will come in the park because to them it's a "NEW" ride.

 

The transport rides to get to the main area of the park are irrelevant. There is an underground path leading to the park (unless you removed it). If the peeps don't want to ride they will walk. If you did remove it you need to put it back. The peeps are not "SMART" enough to know they need to use the transport rides to get to and from the park. To them they are just rides. You can however with good path layouts and some well placed NO-ENTRY signs force them to use the transports the way they would be used in real park. Its the same thing you have to do when you use the Elevator Ride to keep peeps from getting to the top and then not re-boarding to get back down. Check out the Six Flags Magic Mountain Scenario. The tower in the park has a huge problem that only gets worse if you don't fix it. There are peeps up there wanting to "Leave The Park" and they won't get back on the elevator unless you trap them into doing it. The park rating will drop and keep dropping till you get them off the tower.

^there seems to be a more fundamental problem than that. It starts with 14 guests, some of whom leave and literally NO-ONE new comes in at all regardless of what I put in the park (there is a huge bank loan so I have tried some big coasters etc).

 

Can't think what else I can try.
