Hi everyone.

I am over in your part of the world come this August, and amongst all the other things I'll be doing over there, I'll be having something like 6 days at Disneyland resort.

Now, I consider myself somewhat Disney savvy, but was just wondering if anyone thinks the "Walk in Walts footsteps" tour is worth the extra 60 bucks it costs to do it? Has anyone here done the tour? What were your thoughts?

It's certainly something I'm interested in, but was just wondering if it's actually worth it, or if it's just a "tourist con"?

I took the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour last year and thought that it was totally worth the money. I'm a huge Disney fan and learned quite a bit about the park. I would recommend booking the earliest time possible, as you get to walk around Main Street before the crowds take over. We got to go on the Jungle Cruise, see the Enchanted Tiki Room show, rode the DL Railroad, and went briefly inside the lobby of Club 33. The tour ended with a nice lunch in a little seating area on Main Street. A souvenir pin is also included with the tour.

I don't know if you'll have time, but another tour that I *loved* is the Segway tour around California Adventure.

Have fun!

So the tour included VIP treatment on the Jungle Cruise and the Railway? Awesome. I've heard that the Railroad ride is usually conducted in the Lilly Belle, is this what you experienced?

So I'm guessing the tour is conducted in the morning, do you remember what time your tour started?

That segway tour in DCA does look rather coolish, but at 90 usd a go, i'd have to give it a little more consideration.

Has anyone else been on any of these 2 tours?

I guess the rides they take you on may vary, if one of those attractions is closed, for example. We didn't ride in the Lilly Belle on the tour - Not sure why, but I did have a chance to ride it another day by just asking if it was available.

I can't remember exactly, but I'm pretty sure there were two time slots for the tour. One was in the morning and the other in the afternoon. I went with the morning one, and it started at 9:30am, on a day that the park opened at 10am.

FYI, you don't need to do the "Walk in Walts Footsteps" tour to ride the Lilly Belle.

I would first start at City Hall in the morning to make sure that she is on the rails that day. They will sometimes be able to call over to the Main Street Station and get you a time, or they will just have you go talk to one of the Conductors at the station and they will tell you what time to come back.

Make sure you get your Lilly Belle souvenier ticket.
