slicknixon Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 I know that it's impossible to determine an exact release date for a WiiWare game, but it would be nice to know how the game is coming along and what stage in development it's currently at. For the past month at least, there hasn't been a single game released that is worth downloading IMO. A Boy and His Blob is one of mine and many others' most anticipated releases. What do you think we're looking at? This summer? Fall? Next year?
robbalvey Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Well, first off it's not a WiiWare game, it's a full retail product. And other than that I'm not allowed to say anything more about the production of the title as that is in the hands of our publicist at Majesco Games. I will say that some news will be coming soon, though! --Robb
slicknixon Posted May 7, 2009 Author Posted May 7, 2009 oh, well wasn't it originally going to be a WiiWare game? I remember originally hearing about it on wiiware-world.com back at the beginning of the year if i remember correctly. That's cool that it's going to be retail though. I would totally pay top dollar for the game because I am a huge fan of the original. Of course, I've never even technically played through the entire game seeing as I was always tempted to use the Root Beer Rocket to jump ahead at the beginning. Would be nice to have a VC release of the original as well. I have no idea who owns the license to the original game but couldn't you like pitch a promotional deal to get the original released near the same time as the new game? Maybe David Crane himself owns the rights? I'd imagine you probably know better than i do.
ChrisZer0 Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Im looking forward to A Boy And His Robb...er..Blob, as my Wii needs some love. Seeing 3D Realms took a nosedive yesterday(hint hint: pick up Duke Forever on the cheap ), its good to see some success w/ the more indie game companies out there. Im curious if there will be obvious reference to dan, elisa or jewie in your upcoming title??
