DiSab Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 I don't know how many people on here are from the Dayton, OH, area or have heard of Spike, but we have a big event put on every year called Spike for Charity. A number of the fraternities and professional organization on the University of Dayton campus get together and compete in an all-day volleyball tournament. Throughout the few months prior to the event, all the fraternities work individually to raise money, and this money is used as the "pot" for the tournament. The team that wins the tournament donates a third of the total money raised to their fraternity's charity of choice. Another third goes to the charity of the fraternity that raised the most money for the event. The last third goes to the charity of the fraternity with the best overall participation in the event and the weeks before. If anyone is interested in donating money to this year's event, you can do so on our website - http://www.spikeforcharity.com/. Or, if you are currently attending college and want to start a similar event there, you can contact myself and I will help you as much as I can.
