So next year I am planning a trip to Germany, my exact plans are still uncertain but one thing that keeps coming to mind is when & where are traveling fairs that include Olympia Looping. I plan to fly either into Frankfurt or Dusseldorf, if anyone knows of Olympia Looping making a stop near either one of these locations next year please let me know. I would very much like to include this credit into my plans if possible, I am assming that Oktoberfest is more than likely the time. Thanks everyone, any input is much appriciated.

On this site you can find that info back. Currently the 2008 is still online but I guess the 2009 one will be online in some time.

EDIT : I just realize that I'm in Hamburg for work next month. Let's see whether I can squeeze in a visit to the fair over there and have a ride on Olympia Looping

There's very little chance of Olympia Looping attending Düsseldorf, since that is Oscar Bruch's "home" fair, and he always attends.

However, Bonn isn't far from Düsseldorf, and in September, there's usually a chance of Olympia Looping attending there, providing the dates aren't too close to Oktoberfest opening.

I have to be honest though, I'd concentrate more on tracking down Alpina Bahn. Along with Dreier Looping (now in Mexico), those two rides represent Anton's golden age.

If I remember correctly from a previous Photo TR Alpina Bahn comes to Dusseldorf. Is this fair during the summer?

That was probably my TR from this year's fair

Yes, Düsseldorf is a 9 day fair, usually around the 3rd week in July. The last 2 days usually coincide with the first 2 days of Tilburg fair in Holland, which is a very nice 2-fair trip. Or if you prefer, Phantasialand is about an hour from Düsseldorf by public transport.

Great TR! Thanks for all of the info, I'm more than likely looking at 5 days in Germany, my goal is to hit 1 (or maybe 2) fairs then Phantasia/Holiday/Europa/Ring Racer...and maybe Tripsdrill. Does this sound impossible or doable? I was innitially planning to stay in Frankfurt, but now it seems that Dusseldorf may be a better choice. I suppose I can always drive to Europa and just stay at one of the resorts there for a night.

Be prepared for large crowds in the parks in July. On weekdays outside of schoolvacations in April, May, or second half of September (not sure about the crowds in Octobre during Halloween) I would say yes. In July I'm afraid you won't be able to do everything at the parks in such a limited time.

Thanks for the heads up, not sure if I want to battle large crowds my first time going. I may need to look back into September. Thanks everyone for the great input, I really appriciate it.
