Angry_Gumball Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 So, I guess it's better late than never. Actually, I used Photoshop's automation feature to downsize my images but was not sure where it stuffed them. Yesterday, I ended up realizing it put it into the same folder from my last TR instead of a new folder I had created. Anyway, enough of that excuse. Now, I know that there's been a lot of CGA TR's, and this is just another one to add on to the collection and even the park directory on here. So pretty much, the intention of this visit was to redo our failed plans of an after work visit on a friday night (which flopped). The coworkers and I figured to plan on an off day where we can get a whole day in, and when everyone's back from their vacations. As you now know, the plan came to success. The rest of the crew got out there earlier, I made it out there around 1:30 or so as I do have my sunday job at the church. There were 6 of us total: 3 coworkers, my cousin, bro and I. Prior to meeting up with the other 3, we made our routine first ride on Flight Deck (this ride is 99.9% of the time a walkon, I don't know why). After a nice 'warmup ride' on that, I called up one of the coworkers to find where they were. They waited in the long line for Psycho Mouse (Always has super long lines all the time). As we got over there, it turned out that they were eating so we took a ride on Demon. Rough ride towards the front, no audio was running in the tunnel so my bro did the 'screamo pig squeal' sounds he loves doing...almost sounds legit. After the rough front-seat ride, we finally meet up with the rest of the gang. They just finished lunch. I decided to take our first official group ride on the Shoot the Chutes ride as it was getting hot. This actually had some line. Walked off bone dry, 2 of the coworkers stand on the bridge not satisfied with their ride and they asked for it...and they got it. First time I actually saw it push out a nice wave over the bridge since I was little and my cousin challenged the ride. After that, we do another group ride on Survivor (In which it's screens in the empty queue house still read 'paramounts' on them). Rather than making use of the queue house structure, everyone waits just outside, in the blazing hot sun. Luckily it was only 10 minutes. We figured to hit up Grizzly as well as we were in that section. Drop Tower was skipped as it was being weird...only 3 cabins working...only a half useful tower and long lines = no ride for us! Back towards the carnie games towards the front, one of the guys shells out close to 30 bucks just to win what looked like a deflated Tails doll. My bro did the bare minimum of 5 bucks, won a deflated-looking Sonic on the 3rd throw. Now, it's getting really hot so we hit up the Rapids (we call it the 'donut ride' due to the circular boat). My bro sat out as he doesn't like getting wet. Instead, he likes to get others wet. So the 5 of us rode, 3 of us survived...and 2 came out pwned by the geysers. It's now starting to get hot, and I'm getting tired of typing and repeating a bunch of stuff, so I'll go onto the pictures. I will add that night times on Firefall was awesome and not flipping at all was almost better than getting the 2 flips in. We were perfectly balanced upside down for a good 3-5 seconds or so before body weight took over and flipped it back over. The coworkers had never seen the Ed Alonzo show, so we went to go see that (My 4th time seeing the show now..lol..looking forward to halloween edition of his show btw). So yea...onto the pictures. Hopefully the heat doesn't get to the worst of me to leave really stupid captions. Enjoy! Here's some video stuff of what happened that day as well... Evil Jack, pwning some kid... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDycG1l9SSI Presented in Bag Vision®[/tprtv] Making our way back towards Firefall, I never realized (maybe didn't pay attention) that Flying Eagles had some light on it...not much as the park closed before dark during the Paramount ownership. That concludes the pictures! Speaking of which, it pretty much was like this all day. I didn't get too much pictures after dark as we were trying to scramble to get on our last rides...and my bro didn't have the patience to wait for me to get photos. Anyway, Drop Tower broke for good after I shot this. And we then hit up Invertigo...Oh, wait! That was just my imagination! Pwnz0rz...Headshot! Screw it! I'm already wet! Bring on the water! Rawr! I is soakeded. I does now dry off! Can't have a good ride without Intamin's sign of quality! And so did I! Came off dry... And Soaked #2! (Yay, it wasn't the rest of us either!) Soaked #1 (Yay, wasn't me this time!) So here we are, waiting in what was the longest line for us. Operations were slow, they kept stopping the turn table to board and unboard confused riders. Removed the bag, another perfect shot of Flight Deck without heads or light posts in the way. Getting refills of our sodas, I get my bag vision prepped for the rapids...test shot of one of the coworkers. Paramount still lives! Nerd Shot! Dark shot of what's underneath Survivor's skirt! Fire! It's through the trees! (Survivor's torch going off) Finally met up with the rest of the gang...White Water Falls ate up 2 of the guys...can you spot them? I'd say absolutely unacceptable amount of wetness! Finally over to the traditional first ride of the day on Flight Deck. I like this shot as there are no heads or light posts in the way to mess up the shot. I prefer not photoshopping my photos for them to look right. Pop! Goes Jack. Evil thing...just had to make me jump! This is the result of not paying attention when this screwed up Jack in the Box goes off. I guess Jack successfully served his purpose, caught me off guard! A little teaser for CarnEvil, which is coming back this year by the way. Jack, please be nice! Entering CGA, we were greeted with the Halloween Haunt Hearse parked out in the entry plaza.
