Crowds at SFDK on a Sunday in September

Hi everyone. I'm a fairly new member to the site, so forgive me if I haven't posted this question properly. I'm planning an upcoming day-trip to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom a few Sundays from now. I've gone two times during this past summer and the crowds have been moderate to heavy. I was wondering if anybody could tell me if the crowds are usually heavy in the fall on the weekends? As far as I know there are no special events planned, but i'm thinking the crowds may be large due to the limited operating calendar? I know this is a chancy question that depends on many factors, but any insights would really be appreciated! thank you all!

I have had great luck going to SFDK and CGA on Sundays anytime of the year, especially in September and October.

 

Make sure you show up early. Around 12-1, most of the people will start showing up. If you get there before they open, you should be able to ride everything you want without a problem, then see the shows!

I went to SFDK (when it was still SFMW) on a Sunday in September 2005. We got there around 11, and the crowds were really low. Most of the rides were walk-ons, with the exception of Kong and its 1 train operation. Roar had us waiting about 5 minutes, but Medusa, V2, and Boomerang were bona fide walk-ons.

That's funny because I went on a Sunday in September 2005 and the park was so full, we had to park in the overflow lot on on the Solano County Fairgrounds property across the street. Of course, we got there around 2pm. But still...
