StormFreak Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 I will be in Boston from Aug 20-24 for a software conference, and in my downtime I was hoping to hit some nearby parks. I know that Canobie, SFNE, and Lake Compounce are all relatively close, but I was just curious if anyone on here was from the area and knew any public transportation options. I really want to avoid renting a car if possible. Or if there are any other coasters near Boston that I am missing, please let me know.
mcjaco Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 I'm going to move this to Ask Alvey. I think it fits better in there. ~Matt
StormFreak Posted July 9, 2008 Author Posted July 9, 2008 Sorry! Still learning the ropes here at TPR
Moose Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 The only thing I have ever heard of is Peter Pan running a bus to Six Flags. As far as I know, the parks are too far outside the city for any other public transportation to be viable. Someone please correct me if I am wrong. Boston To Six Flags Bus
StormFreak Posted July 9, 2008 Author Posted July 9, 2008 Thanks for the info. If I had to pick between Canobie, SFNE, and Lake Compounce, which would you recommend? I'm assuming SFNE because of Superman, but I have also heard great things about Boulder Dash.... Now I just have to figure out a rental car situation... or just stay in the city and find things to do other than riding coasters... Yes, I have been to Boston once before and have seen the tourist sights already.
