We are coming in from Ohio on Saturday.

I have to get my seasons passes processed.

The weather report is getting worse for Sunday.

My question is should I drive up to SFMM on Saturday?

Or hope that they will open on Sunday?

How often do they close when they are scheduled to open?

Even though this will be listed as my home park I do not know when or if I will be back to California this year,so I need to do this on this trip.

Thanks.

Hey,

My advice would be to drive up when you can. Probably Saturday would be best, get there at least one hour before the park closes. On Saturday it'll be 8PM and Sunday it'll be 7PM.

Its very rare that the park actually closes for rain, they try to stay open as much as possible and at worse they'll close early.

Usually around 2 hours prior to park closing.

I just checked the weather and as far as Sunday it seems as if it'll clear up at around 2:00 - 3:00 PM. Which means that it'll most likely stay open.

I couldn't tell by your post on if you wanted to get on a lot or not, so keep in mind that a lot closes in the rain. Its no Cedar Point or Knotts, but in heavy rain/wind the park has no choice but to close most of the major rides.

If for some reason we get hit by another storm and you ponder if the park will even open just check the front page http://www.sixflags.com/magicMountain/index.aspx , if its closed it'll be posted on that page.

If you have anymore questions feel free to ask.

-Mike
