I am planning a trip for the end of the summer and need help as far as hotels. We are going to hit SFGAdv, Hershey, and Dorney (in that order.) We want to spend 2 days at GAdv, 1 & 1/2 at Hershey, and 1 & 1/2 at Dorney.

I can't find a hotel anywhere near GAdv. Last time I went, all I can remember is a McDonalds and a wa-wa? gas station at the GAdv exit. What is the next decent exit with a hotel? (Not looking to spend over $100/night.)

Also, any good locations near? Dorney (we have the Hershey one taken care of.) Last time we stayed a good 10-15 minutes from Dorney and want something closer.

Any help is appreciated.

I'm looking for hotels near those parks aswell.

Till now, best website I found is www.comfortinn.com. Very handy that you can look up with the name of the themepark and also the map you get after hitting search is very convenient to see where the hotels are located.

For Dorney and SFGAdv the hotels are some miles from the parks but still at an acceptable range.

Not sure you really need more than one day at Dorney. During the week you can hit all the coasters in less than 2 hours. There are several motels directly across the street from Dorney. That said, check out the Microtel near the airport - great value, very clean, only 15 minutes from Dorney.

But at Dorney, do not miss the log flume - its one of the best anywhere, its built on the side of a hill - imagine Boulder Dash as a log flume.

SFGAdv is in the middle of nowhere. I'd suggest checking the motels at Turnpike exits 8 or 10. They are only 20 minutes away.

Thanks for the help. We know we don't 'need' 1 1/2 days at Dorney (we made a similar trip last year and hit all the coasters in about 3 hours and the log-flume, S&S tower, and the carnival-frisbee ride.) We actually stayed at the Microtel you are referring too and were impressed for the price!

We just want to take our time, maybe hit-up WildWater Kingdom and not feel rushed. That said, we might spend a full day and be done or we might go back the next morning (either way, we still need a hotel at all the parks.)

Is there usually a lot of traffic near SFGAdv? (Aka- would 13 miles be about 15 minutes or 30?)
