Vertical Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Hi, fist post for me in this site...i'm Italian and planning a visit in NY for next week For sure i'll spend one day in Six Flags Great Adv.....but i'm not sure about the day. In your opinion when can i have more chances to find the park less crowded? Saturday 6 oct, sunday or in columbus day 8 oct? Tnx...cool site!
larrygator Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 With that being the start of Fright Fest, I expect it to have very big crowds every day. Monday is probably your best option. I did not realize the park would be open on Columbus Day.
Vertical Posted September 26, 2007 Author Posted September 26, 2007 Tnx....not a good news....i supposed to find not so many people in october....forgetting the Fright Fest
Homer Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Columbus Day, seriously, schools never get that day off anymore.
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 ^Well then I must not be going to an actual school... I KNEW IT!!!
Vertical Posted October 15, 2007 Author Posted October 15, 2007 I was there 8 oct as you recommend Cool park! Lines were average....just 30 min for Kingda,El Toro & Nitro...not bad for this season i suppose...reading the plans....."180 minutes from here" Is was my first park out from Italy.....another planet....here we have just one medium quality coaster ( Katun at Mirabilandia...and.....stop)...so this was really fantastic! First ride of the day...Kingda Ka, one the first trains of the day...no words, my head is still shaking, never tryed anything similar....then el Toro in the last seat, on first drop i was thinking to be ejected from the train AWESOME....in camelbacks looks like a motorcycle...accelerates meters before the cliff...best ride of the park! then Nitro, always on last line, pretty high and funny but not so "extreme". In the evening nice colors and lights for Freaking fest...a fantastic day! I just can't wait to be there again.....and in the Big apple too!
larrygator Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 ^It is good to hear that the lines were short on Columbus Day. A friend of mine went this past weekend and said El Toro and KK lines were up to two hours and the whole park was very crowded.
