Adrenaline_Rush Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 ----Blizzard Beach---- ~`~`~`~FL~`~`~` To start the day off, my family woke up around 7:30 A.M. Showered, got dressed, and hopped in the car by 8:15. We got on to 27, exited on to 192, drove down aways, and took the exit ramp straight into Disney, followed the signs and arrived by 8:45. While waiting to get in I was offered the oppurtunity to draw with sidewalk chalk, on the Blizzard Beach grounds by an employee. After doing this we went inside, got situated with the lockers, found the designated area to meet the "parental unit" and like a horse out of the gates we were off! First off - Teamboat Springs, my sister and I waited 5 minutes in line to ride. We had to join another party to ride since you need a minimum of 4 people to ride. Positives - The ride fills up with water, and is a nice amount of wetness, the ride being so long makes it more enjoyable. The dips when going backwards give some nice "floater air" on a water ride! Negatives - The ending has this nice drop then a turn to slow you down and the whimpiest drop into water after that, if they reversed this to make it a small dip turn then huge drop, that would make it more exciting, also the water isnt deep enough when you get out of the raft, which somehow makes it harder to get out. Second - Runoff Rapids single rider (enclosed tube.) we waited a good 10 minutes to get on, minus the time it took us to get up the staircases. We rode single rider for the enclosed tube. Positives - You cant see where you are going, the turns slosh the water around and you get soaked, some unexpected dips gave off some nice "airtime" yes "airtime!" Negatives - The stairs are a killer pain to walk up, even if your a fit person, its tiring, there is so much water in the tunnel that its like drowning you in a tube until the end. Third - Downhill Double Dipper we waited around 30 minutes, for one of the most underestimated rides in the world. Positives - Extremely fast paced, nice "floater air," the waterfall hits you by suprise, the splashdown threw me off the tube! Negatives - This ride has no negatives Awesome Add Ons - This ride has this floor in front of you that raises to stop you from going, and it releases on both sides at the same time for an even race, it also times you to tell you who won! Fourth - Snow Stormers we waited 20 minutes to ride, for an amazing mat ride. Positives - Fast, sharp turns, nice dips, awesome splashdown! Negatives - Some dips throw you to the side then you land on your arm and it hurts, I almost lost my mat. Fifth - Slush Gusher I waited 30 minutes for a fast, freaky ride. Positives - Amazing sensation of freefalling down the last hill, over the dips you get this little pop of "airtime," The splashdown soaked me! Negatives - Too short of a ride, it hurts your back just a little bit. Sixth - Summit Plummit I waited 35 minutes to ride this extremely fast water ride. Positives - The amazing freefalling sensation Negatives - Hurts your back alot, way to short of a ride, the ride operator didnt even care or instruct 1st timers on what to do, Biggest wedgie ever! Seventh - Teamboat Springs (again) I waited 5 minutes to ride Teamboat Springs, I also joined a group without my sister whom I met on the chairlift. Positives - The ride gets faster during the day Negatives - The ending... ----Favorite Ride---- Downhill Double Dipper ----Least Favorite Ride---- Summit Plummit ----Most Acceptable Amount of Wetness---- Slush Gusher ----Least Acceptable Amount of Wetness---- Teamboat Springs Overall I found my day enjoyable, I went home soaked, and I approve this waterpark an acceptable amount of wetness!
