Introduce Me to RCT3 Downloads

I must be missing something.

 

I'm clueless about any kind of downloads for RCT3. I've noticed fast passes, new supports, etc.

 

Could anyone explain this all to me?

well since the beginning of RCT (even RCT1) people make "Custom Scenery"

Custom Scenery is scenery (think of buildings, walls, roofs, statue's, well everything) that's been made by people who play RCT, so not by the maker of RCT.

you can download it (download Net-On, and you have it all: http://neton.rct-net.de/)

 

when you download it, Neton installs it in a particulair folder in your RCT maps, and when you play RCT you have all the things you installed.

 

You can also install the things yourself go to Atari Forum and you can see every CS that's been made, download it, Unpack it (with winrar) and place it in the correct folder (always read the read me).

 

it really expands RCT a lot

winrar is the same as Winzip (program which allows you to unzip maps, with winrar it's called unrar)

I've downloaded a file to a special RCT3CS folder that I created, but I don't know where my RCT3 Directory is, or where the Style/Theme Folder is within it.

 

Mind showing me the way?

if you installed it normally then its :

 

C:/Program Files/Atari/Rollercoaster Tycoon/Styled/Themed

I did a search for that particular file, and my computer couldn't find it.

 

What does this mean?

I tried my best, but I just couldn't find it.

 

I did find the RCT3 folder in my documets, but the only folder in there was the one for Fireworks.

 

Should I make a new folder, or is that even possible?

haha good luck with it, now we wanna see a park you made with CS

I added realistic supports to the coasters at one of my many sandbox parks. It looks so great!

 

I'm not sure if I'm ready to show my parks to the world yet...

 

I need to tinker some more.
