parklover19 Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 can anyone tell me how to download parks that RCT3 people have made, such as shyguy's Wonderworld? What file do i put the park in after it is downloaded and after i have gone to Atari/RCT3.
parklover19 Posted March 31, 2007 Author Posted March 31, 2007 someone please tell me, i really want to see some of these parks up for download.
Steffen_Dk Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 I am not 100% sure, but I think you shall save the downloaded park in Documents/RCT3/Parks
krouvi Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 I would love to share with you the same question as I have no idea where to put the park in. Moreover - do I need to download the scenery of the park or the saved park will contain it anyway (just like in RCT2) ?
jason10 Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Extract the file to: My Documents\RCT3\Parks and yes, you do have to download the custom scenery nd no, the custom scenery is not saved with the park. (same thing) You extract the custom scenery files to: C:\Program Files\Atari\RollerCoaster Tycoon® 3\Style\Themed
parklover19 Posted April 1, 2007 Author Posted April 1, 2007 also, how do you put pictures off the internet onto billboards
jason10 Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 All you do is purchase Wild! which is an expansion pak. Without tht, it's impossible unless you can create custom scenery. I have no idea how to do that.
Steffen_Dk Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 You'll have to find the picture you want on the internet, or you can make a pic by yourself. (SAVE IT) After you've done that, go to the game and build a bill board. When you choose the bill board, a window will appear, and here you can choose the pics you have made. Find the pic you want. Click on it and then - WUPTI a nice bill board
krouvi Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Thanks for helping. There is so much to learn about this game.
parklover19 Posted April 1, 2007 Author Posted April 1, 2007 thanks for the billboards, but does anyone know where you go in the game on the main menu to access the park you downloaded
steel Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 ^That's my question. I can never find any of the RCT3 parks I download.
jason10 Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 ^ ^^ BTW. You have to be on the same log on as the persons documents you saved them to. If you save the park in your own documents, you won't be able to access it in the game when your on your little sister's log on. Stupid yeah, logical, sort of. Anymore problems just ask!
the sound Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 ^ I'm not sure i understood that. To answer your question Steel, parklover, i think you can find it in the Sandbox saved games menu.
jason10 Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 ^ If you saved the park in Jason Edwards documents, then you won't be able to access the park on RCT3 wilst your logged on to Katie Edwards' log on. Yeah. You get the game on sandbox saved games located under the start new game button in the sandbox 'zone'.
parklover19 Posted April 4, 2007 Author Posted April 4, 2007 i downloaded wonderworld to my screen name and logged in on my screen name but i did not see wonderworld under the saved games file. Any ideas where the park is?
handy-andy Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 Ask the guy who made 'wonder world' where his park was a custom scenario or sand box. If its sandbox you save it in Documents/ RCT3/ sandbox and if its custom scenarios save it with custom scenarios then it should show up
Corkscrewy Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 Yeah so I just dowloaded my RCT3 back onto this computer after it got fixed.. and now i dont have the Parks folder.. dead serious. Do I need to first play some parks in the game and save them before it appears or whats the deal there??
handy-andy Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 ^ I don't know really! Theres a few things you could try: Play a park or 2, Save in scenarios to start folder, make your own 'Parks' folder in Documents/ RCT3 If non of this works do a re-install Hope this helps
