Pinnacle Studio Plus, Titanium, Special Anniversary Pack

I am unsure whether I should buy this software or not as I have read mixed reviews about it. I am currently using Roxio Videowave 7 pro but I would like to change software as this porgramme often crashes. I was wondering whether anyone has had any experience with this software and could tell me whether it is worth me buying.

 

Please consider:

 

- Whether it is worth the money. (I can purchase it on amazon for around £30)

- Whether it is a better piece of software compared to Roxio Videowave 7 pro.

I personally use Avid Express Pro, which isn't cheap, however they do a slimmed down free version, which depending on how complex you want to get might do. For effects as long as you don't want more than 2 video layers you'll be fine. Worse case scenario you do a video mix down and add another layer. Just do a search on Avids website for Free DV and you should find it.

What do people think would be more worthwhile:

 

Upgrading to Roxio Videowave 8 or buying Pinnacle?

 

Both would cost me about the same remember.
