CK Media Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 I'm thinking of doing a trip to Universal Studios before summer. I'm not sure on the costs though. Here's a summary. I kinda need help with it. I was thinking everyone buys their own tickets, food, and souvenirs and we put our money together for everything else.. 2 park tickets - $67 each Gas - ??? Tolls - ??? Food - ??? Parking - ??? I'm not sure of the costs. If 4 people come I was thinking it should be $100 each person which will leave $132 between us. Would that be enough? Mind you I'm driving from Miami. I know it's enough for gas but what about the food? Should we just eat out of the park? I guess $30 is enough for food for 4 people.
carolinacaniac Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 Everything depends on how long you will be there. Are you staying over night or are you doing it all in one day?
disneyfan1313 Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 Depending on what you drive you can expect to use 3/4 to a full tank of gas each way from Miami - Orlando. Tolls will run you aprox $15 each way (depending on route). Parking is $11 or $12 now at Universal. Universal has a meal deal where you can eat all day for $18.99 (not including drink) at the parks quick service restaurants. This might be a good deal if you are on a budget and like food
CK Media Posted February 2, 2007 Author Posted February 2, 2007 Oh yeah it's a day trip. I'm also considering BG cause it's cheaper and has more coasters.
ginzo Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Oh yeah it's a day trip. I'm also considering BG cause it's cheaper and has more coasters. That makes a lot of sense if you're only after coasters. Universal has great coasters, but I think Busch Gardens has even better ones. If you're trying to save money, you could just throw some sandwiches and snacks into a cooler, and avoid buying expensive park food. Though I dunno how that would fly in the vicious Florida heat.
larrygator Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 ^It will work OK if you put ice in the cooler.
CK Media Posted February 13, 2007 Author Posted February 13, 2007 Well because of 9/11 coolers were banned and I was also planning to go with out anything to carry around. Also this is my friends first trip to Orlando so IoA has more variety for him and Tampa is farther.
