Mrs. Koch told our group last time we were at the park "Alot of other parks don't understand that your main goal shouldn't be to get people to the park, it should be to get people to come back." -

Amazing looking ride, amazing looking capacity, and it will take the crowds away from their other amazing slides! Great addition here combined with Timberliners for next season, Holidayworld #winning -

So is it known for sure that this is not going to be a coaster? I know people were talking about HWNights and discussion of there not being a coaster next year. -

I can speak for all of us "Photo TR Park Food Menu Shot Enthusiasts" out there in saying that this update=SCORE! -
Was at Dorney for the first time ever Saturday so my quick take on the park(only was there for about 4 hours but got in every ride we wanted as lines were dead in the morning): Pros: -Talon -Demon Drop!!!! -Very clean park and great small park atmosphere even with CF trying to CP the crap out of it -Water park entrance right at the entrance of the park so crowds stay away from dry rides in early morning which means shorter lines for coaster people like us Cons -without a doubt the slowest and worst park entrance system we've ever encountered, it took us 45min to get into the park once we reached the front gate(season pass line anyone?) -Definatly needs more shade -Hydra's akwardness -Pay per ride for a Screamin' Swing!?! Hydra-5/10- very strange ride from the jo jo roll to the slow crawl into the brake run, will give the ride props for uniqueness and some would like it because it breaks away from the cookie cutter B&M models, but this ride really makes u realize B&M makes good f***ing cookies and they should stick to them Possessed-9/10- LOVE LOVE LOVE impulses with vertical spikes, missed this ride since we rode it last as Superman Steel Force-6.9/10- My first Morgan hyper other than Phantoms Revenge and got to say I'm not a fan, helix's don't do it for me, and I guess I was expecting the ejector Magnum air on the return run so a little let down. Thunderhawk- 8/10- Maybe the suprise of the trip as we didn't expect much but we are woodie people and this thing (although it looks like it is crying with the lack of a paint job since the 60's we'd guess, plus the trim before the last bunnie hill was a boo) this thing had everythign we could want from a good wooden coaster, gave a few very good OMG air pops at the top of it's turn arounds Demon Drop-12/12- we miss u Demon Drop, you're extreme bliss followed by akward painful clanky landing and flip back to vertical ride experiences are not appreciated over there in PA in the back corner of little Dorney Talon-10/10- Can't say enough good things about this ride, in the brake run we labeled it our new number 1 invert but time and more reflection will tell, the amazing pacing, low to the ground elements, and lack of a mid course break put it ahead of Montu, Dueling Dragons, and Alpengeist in our book. AMAZING ride, wish we could have had more time to get more laps

Rode Steel Force at Dorney for the first time this weekend, I know it's not extremely hyped anymore but I had high hopes and heard good things. But to all who like this ride F*** off! -

Was in Hershey for the first time ever this weekend, thought I would get a little TR action in for all of you counting down until tomorrow afternoon, and give my 2 cents on the park. We had a blast and definatly will be returning to this park in the future. *sorry no pictures of rides or construction as camera died 2 photos in* We took advantage of the preview plan Saturday night and then spent the day at the park Sunday(Saturday night was crazy busy in town as the Backstreet boys and New Kids on the Block were in town). Hersheypark PROS: -Beautiful landscape with lots of shade -ZooAmerica -Boardwalk area was a ton of fun had a few good slides and hides Lightning Racers from the GP so more rides for us! -reasonable prices on the food -every park should have a preview plan -fantastic coaster lineup CONS: -a great variety of food, but nothing we had was any good -VERY slow loading system(don't open air gates until everyone has left the station and purchased their on-ride photos it felt like) -very hilly and confusing layout of the park(worst park map ever) and could really use some kind of people mover as the park gets longer -could use more bathrooms, or atleast have them easier to find -could use more water slides(although don't know where they could fit any) Fahrenheit- 8/10 - Very unique ride, could really only compare it to Maverick and in our opinion on poops on Maverick. Very smooth transitions for as compact as the ride is with little to no head bangage(we found the restraints to be different than SR and Maverick, much softer and giving), vertical lift and drop were highlight of the ride. Storm Runner- 9/10- Had extremely high hopes for this ride as probably everyone does who gets to Hershey for the first time. Launch felt just as good as Dragster just didnt last as long, loved the air-time over the top-hat, not a top 10 ride but only real negative we could find was the awful Intamin restraints and stupid slow loading system. Wildcat- 7/10- Wanted to love this ride so much that even with some rough transition and little air I give it a 7 for being my favorite coaster companies 1st born and having sexy trains Lightning Racers-10/10- Can't say enough good things about this ride, the mass of air-time, the amazing as always GCI curves, the pacing, the interaction between the trains, the atmosphere of the trains actually racing every lap, instant top 10 woodie but still behind Thunderhead and Voyage Roller Soaker-2/10- Maybe we just didn't get this ride, but it was very short, didn't do much, the water jets just slapped us in the face and blinded us, and thank god we rode it first thing Sunday or we'd be waiting 2 hours for this dumb ride. Sidewinder-3/10- Ouch Great Bear- 8/10- Now we had heard alot of bad coming from this ride(calling it Great Borr) but we found it to be alot of fun, good pacing solid transitions, much better than Raptor because our ears wernt bleeding in the brake run, also we LOVED the fake first drop unique turnaround drop thingy, only downfall for this ride was we rode Talon the day before so it didn't have much chance in our Invert world Comet- 6.9/10- props to Hershey for taking great care of this old classic Wildmouse- 6.9/10- A little bit of ouch, alot of fun -

Next Wednesday's announcement for 2012 includes something for @HolidayWorld and something else for @SplashinSafari. #HW A S&S screamin' swing would be a great addition to the 4th of July section IMO! -

The much diverse Mitchell Family Maniacs decided to take on the challenge of Coasting For Kids 2011 event at Kings Island this weekend as we were proud to raise money to support the wonderful Give Kids the World Village. In short half of us got our butts totally kicked by the event and only 2 members of our team made it through the morning 4 hours of the marathon getting in 58 rides on the Red Racer without getting off(other than to switch seats). The afternoon marathon was cut short due to storms in the area. Much love to Kings Island for supplying free bottled water all day, WAY awesome ride ops that supplied KI trivia and laughs all morning, as well a free lunch and lots of great prizes in a lunch time raffle drawing(the coolest prize won being a type writer copie of a press release for The Beast, before the Beast even had a name...ooooooo aaaaah) Not alot of pictures sorry, but had alot of fun as you will see... We arrive bright at early and the White, Black, Ginger, Tall, Short, Large, Small, Cute, Weird, diversity powers of the Mitchell Family Maniacs have come together to take on The Racer Behind the scenes walk back to Racer, ooo aaah Little D spots more diversity, yay diversity! We made it! "How many rides does it take in a row to become a Coaster Outthusiast?" won for joke of the day Ride 2 and morale is still high... The group is holding strong after 5 rides and Jacob makes sure he doesnt get tagged on facebook 10 rides in front row riders get off from wind burn, 1 guy fell out, 2 people gained 4 pounds from free bottled water and can no longer get 2 inches slack on their seatbelt, and everyone on a wheel seat got a migraine 15 rides in "what are u a girl or somethin?" at 20 rides I am forced to get off due to the shame and embarrassment of stomach sweat marks But the toughest of our family members ride on "our ancestors were slaves and ur gonna cry about a wooden coaster?" they say Action shot attempt as our two remaining team members try to get on the Cincinnati evening news after consecutive ride 55 morale still high? Solo ride FTW! lunch, nerdy prizes, end caption, Add the file 4 hours of marathon down, 4 to go afternoon was cut short due to weather, but you can see who the real winner was!...Thanks you for reading, and Thanks Kings Island and GKTW Village for hosting a great event for a greater cause
