No Titan today. They should have already gotten the lift hill chain in but they still need to probably recertify the ride if they haven't already. Yesterday was the last day the park is closed until September so daily operations now. They also have to train an entire Titan operation crew. Staffing is a huge problem but school is almost out. Some rides don't even open with how bad staffing is currently. It will get there. Maybe tomorrow, maybe a few more days. Trains are in storage still though. Also some more concrete pouring about to happen on left side of Aquaman splash trough. My guess is August 5th opening date on the park's birthday.

They were also running black and blue New Texas Giant trains at start of year but now it's been red and blue trains for a little bit. Black train is out of commission. Off the ride completely and not in storage. You can also see train #3 of Runaway Mountain driving down the road with the employee entrance. The shell of all 3 cars are visible right next to the road and employee entrance. The restraints are off of that one. Also they took down all Titan refurbishment signage around the path to New Texas Giant Flash Pass entrance @skyrocket010. They even started to run Sidewinder a little bit which did not run for the duration of Titan being down.

Does any other theme park share the same "general area" with not only just one but two professional and major sports teams. Six Flags Over Texas is in the same block as Choctaw Stadium aka the old Texas Rangers ballpark from 1994-20whatever. They built the new insert insurance company name here across the street from the old stadium. Dallas Cowboys stadium is a block past that. The only other park I can think of is California's Great America and San Francisco 49ers. Traffic from the park on games days is the spawn of the perfect storm. Tomorrow the Texas Rangers play at 6:05 pm. Six Flags closes at 9, Yeahhh this is not good.

Just got back from Pirates of Speelunker Cave preview. Overall pretty good. It is a continuous loading platform with a single dinghy. 1 boat is 2 people x 2 people and they are pretty small compared to the old Yosemite Sam and the Gold River Adventure. Remember that one where they had 2 big boats joined to form 1 train? This one is just 1 small boat per train. It seats 4 big people but smaller guests can fit 3 to a row. It is not a 2-side alternating platform anymore. They used the left side for scenery. The ride ops were dressed like Pirates today but towards the end of the day they were training the employees assigned to this ride and they had special uniforms. All ops get Hawaiian shirts. It even has that new ride smell. The queue line theming is unbe-freakin'-lievable. Best queue theming at SFOT. The new wood smell even smells like a pirate stranded on a beach. Season Passes have its benefits. 2-3 hour lines on every ride today but only 5 minutes for this one. Mentioned above by @bert425 yeah the POV shows it. You would not expect this level of theming from 1. Any Six Flags park 2. THIS Six Flags park. 10/10 calming dark ride. It's air conditioned and you get a little wet (giggity) on it to cool off in the scorching Texas heat. Pictured: Little of Pirates queue and station. I'm still giddy that Single Rider Lines are back.

Friendly reminder that Pirates of Speelunker Cave opens to the public in 24 hours and 13 minutes! Single Rider Lines are back. Mr. Freeze is open. Busy weekend ahead with the Boston Red Sox in town. Saturday's game is a 6:05pm start with Six Flags closing at 9 for the TRAFFIC JAM FROM HELL! LEAVE THE SIX FLAGS PARKING LOT TO GO TO 6 MORE PARKING LOTS! Want to go half a mile in 30 minutes? WELL WE GOT THE ROUTE FOR YOU!

These photos are from last year. They were in the parking lot and it looks like the old track designed for single car ops? January-March of this year I saw them installing a metric butt-load of wiring for the electronics of the ride. You can see the crew working on the ride when the park is open on weekdays. April-May of this year they have gotten LOTS done. But are they close? No they are not, are they closer than January? Eons. The main progress I've seen is the concrete. It will get there. This project has gone through a global pandemic not to mention 3 company CEOs and 3 Park Presidents when SFOT appoints a new one.

It depends on the day. Some rides can go down 10 times one day and be fine the next. It depends on the ride too. The last time I saw the Mine Train go down for more than 30 minutes was a decade ago. You can drop a Nokia on it and it breaks the Nokia. Shockwave hardly ever goes down. Texas Giant goes down a lot. If I had to rank the top 5 rides with non-weather/non-refurbishment downtime I'd rank them in no order as: El Diablo Mr. Freeze The Joker Riddler Revenge Texas Giant I'd put Harley Quinn Spinsanity on this list but that ride is gone long-term or permanent. It all depends on the day.

Joker runs occasionally. It ran this weekend but the threshold for operating in winds is low. The wind doesn't need to blow hard at all for it to go down. Even Texas Skyscreamer and Superman: Tower of Power operate in higher winds than the Joker. It does have a lot of technical difficulties too. It's a operations problem of a ride.

Judge Roy Scream is finally back up and running. Pirates of Speelunker's Cave is really coming along. They look done with the queue line and the station looks great. That ride is nearing its opening date rapidly. They put a lot of concrete down at Aquaman. Turntable apparatus looks good too. Still no work on station yet. They have what looks like an entrance/exit path going underneath the hump in the middle of the ride. If I've learned anything about rollercoaster construction, and I haven't, I'd take a guess-timation that July 4th weekend sounds like a good opening day for that ride. They still have at least a month of work ahead on it. The splash trough looks good too. It's not close but it's a lot better than 4 months ago. Mr. Freeze and Titan still down.
