  1. I can confirmed that the park has studied the issue of bringing back both platforms and almost attempted to do so multiple times this past season. It’s my understanding that two issues primarily prevented them from doing so: 1. Staffing (why have higher thru put for one ride when you can open 2) & State approval of dual operations with Zumanjaro, which park management felt was “good enough” (for now) for improving thru put. I think they originally started looking at bringing back both stations a couple seasons ago when it looked like the approval wasn’t going to happen, but getting that approval (which was actually received right before pandemic) threw cold water on the project and staffing in 2021 killed it for now. As for El Toro, it’s actually still in park’s hands as they have not finished retracking yet and have not even asked state to reopen as this needs to be done first. Getting dangerously close to the point where the maintenance team (who want to push reopening till 2022) will not be able to finish before FF is done.
  2. I know everyone excited for new coaster but there’s some other news lurking. Six Flags hotel in very early development for Fiesta Texas. Don’t expect announcement any time soon, land won’t be broken till mid 2022, not scheduled to open till 2023. Expect announcement next year
  3. Oh wow. I had heard about the kids area revamp but just assumed they would save it till next year since neither park is currently scheduled to receive any new attractions (expect overall park improvements though). Maybe they will save some of this new kids area, as I’m hearing this is just the beginning for it. Park will bring back other old seaport kiddie rides and rename current ones to match the Jersey theme. Possibly will go out and buy some new kiddie rides too or receive donations from other parks. Hearing they will definitely need to clear some trees and even maybe take down the stage over there to make room
  4. Fright Fest will start in early August this year… well, maybe not all of Fright Fest but it seems like the park is readying at least one trail to open within the next few weeks, possibly as some sort of preview? Awhile ago I heard Great Adventure was very jealous of other Six Flags parks that run trails at other times during the year so maybe this is them trying to play catch up and extend the Fright Fest season, or part of it, just a little bit
  5. Choosing Starbucks not a park level decision. Coming to most parks in the chain in some capacity…eventually. Also, expect to see more places from the FAT Brands company come to the parks over the next several years as they try to retool some of their food offerings
  6. Expect Starbucks in the park soon. Not a franchised store, but real, Starbucks-branded beverages served on Main Street.
  7. I’ll refer you to something that I hinted at a couple weeks ago: Expect Great Adventure to operate 14 coasters by the end of this year, if not the end of next month. Big retheme in the works to little kids area near Jersey Devil…RRR up first with new theme, some (but not all) other seaport rides to follow next year
  8. Oh, don’t get me wrong. He has every right to be skeptical given their track record. I will say though, there’s definitely a new culture inside the company post pandemic. You’ll see it throughout this year and next
  9. Operations will most likely be a major challenge at first given the need to train team members on a moving platform. Park will not open the ride to public without all four trains, unless one of them has major issues. Also, be on look out for dinosaurs this weekend. Not open yet but from what I hear should be visible behind Safari station now.
  10. Note the one train already with water dummies. It’s a crazy ambitious time frame for sure, but don’t be surprised if you see trains running the course next week. That’s the plan at least.
  11. Can confirm two things recently posted in this thread: 1. Park has received clearance from the state to operate Kingda Ka and Zuminajro at the same time after some modifications to both attractions. Unclear when this will actually start but could be as early as this weekend. 2. Park is still targeting opening Jersey Devil within the next two weeks, hopefully by Memorial Day Weekend.
  12. Great Adventure’s Dino Drive-Thru/walkthrough is shaping up to be better than a lot of the other parks. Same Dino’s but will be more of a “safari/Jurassic park” type of feel.. not in the parking lot like Fiesta Texas Might get overshadowed by Jersey Devil though.. will likely open very soon (if not same time) as Dino’s
  13. Great Adventure’s will be much better though. Much better area selected will add to theming of experience and make for better photo ops
  14. Park has already confirmed that this is not Jersey Devil related. Animatronic Dinosaur walkthrough. Same one that was previously done in New England
  15. I do believe there are still Little Devils in the details left to be discovered about the Jersey Devil Coaster area. Perhaps back to 14?
